Occasionally When I press on my brakes they will go straight to the floor and I will not be able to brake. It happens especially when I take off very fast and then try to brake at high speeds.
master brake cylinder or air in my lines? Please help!

I'd probably make sure that there is no air in the lines first

so you're telling me your first action was to post here before you tried to bleed your brakes???

i think u should do that first, that way it either fixes it or it lets u determine that its your master cylinder and not your lines.

theres no telling now so do the cheapest one first, bleed it, then if it persists change that brake master cylinder

whats better is if you flush it, because you might bleed it but still have water in those lines and under heat water turns into vapor which u can compress vapor therefore it sponges down even after a bleed, so flush it and put some new fluid in that badboy!!!!

Pads and rotors are all new front and back. What is the process of flushing the brake lines and refilling?

there are many ways to do this and you will need alot of brake fluid because you have to flush out the old fluid with new stuff, then flush the contaminated new fluid with clean new fluid again so go ahead and buy that big bottle of brake fluid

1- my way is to first open 1 bleeder valve (doesnt matter in which order) then pump the brakes and the fluid will come out of there, then continue untill nothing else comes out,

2-now refill the canister with new fluid (with valve still open) and pump once or twice and check canister level, and refill again, then pump once or twice and refill again... and so on, untill nice clean n clear fluid is coming out, (you want to make sure it always has fluid in the canister, because the goal here is to keep air out now.)

now that clean fluid is coming out, dont do the bleeding yet. we are just replacing fluids for now, so go ahead and close the valve and do the next 3.

ok now that all lines have been flushed and valves are closed now you can bleed the brake lines.

i would also tell you how to but i think ill save me some typing and also use this sites resources by adding this link:

If its only really happening after you boost the car its the check valve inside the line for the booster,i had the same problem on a 2g i worked on.

Sigh. I started to bleed the brake lines by myself but then the 2 nipples on the front end of the car twisted right off. I did not really see any air from the rear brakes when i bled them. eventually i will buy new front calipers but I dont have 200$ just laying around. lets try this check valve....

where is the check valve located?

There's only one hose coming off the back of you intake manifold. Follow it over to the brake booster and remove the line. Try blowing thru each end of the hose. If you can blow thru both ends, its bad. If you can't blow thru the end that came from the engine, it's good.

Instead of new calipers, pull those off and have a machine shop remove the broken nipples.

I kinda think that if it were the check valve, you would just get a rock hard pedal. If it goes to the floor, but only sometimes, check your wheel bearings for looseness, make sure your calipers all slide freely on the pins, and if all looks normal replace the master. Before you die.

After the half bleed of the breaks I haven't been able to get it to go to the floor yet. And I'm still alive LOL. I should have a machine shop fix those for me... I wonder if the problem is fixed...... still testing at high speeds. Ill be back for an update

you mean you will update if you dont die at a high speed test????

Not only is this illegal, but very dangerous. With that out of the way, dont feel bad I do the same stupid shit to test my cars. I would still bleed the entire system front and rear. It can only help if dont correctly.

He's probably out cleaning his pants after he found out what happens when you try braking at high speeds with only the rear brakes, especially when going into a curve.
