Hey

I was wondering if there was anyone in the east side or seattle area that has a data logger for a 1g 1991 talon tsi i could borrow or buy for tunning a gm maf and maft, i got a aem o2 wide band, but not a logger, i was wondering if there was anyone out there with some experience on tunning a maft's that could help me out

the car is stock, it has 450 cc injectors, the engine has new piston rings metal head gasket with arp head studs and acl racing rod bearings, new timing belt and fuel pressure regulator with less than 100 miles

My stock 1g maf went bad and i could find a replacment i tried to re wire a spare 2g maf but learned that i needed a safc to make it run properly

I'm hoping to have the car running better by thursday since i'm trying to drive it down to portland or port angels that day.

I'm not sure if i can post my number here but here it is anyway 425-679-1271

Thanks in advance guys!

Hey buddy,

Hell yeah, I have a pocket logger you can barrow for a week. I live in Lynnwood and work in Shoreline so I'm pretty close to you.

Get in touch with me here on DSMTuners or give me a call on my cell phone - I've left you my number on your voice mail this morning.

I'm always excited to help out a fellow local DSMer. Just let me know if I can help in some other way; I've acquired a huge amount of experience working on the 4g63 platform and have organized a massive collection of nuts, bolts, spare parts and special tools and techniques for our cars.

I'd also like to put together a monthly tuning session for all our local, pac-north-west, DSMers. I figure we can change oil and swap experience using DSMLink and what ever else people need help with. I've mentioned this idea in an earlier thread (in the Seattle area sub-forum) and everyone seemed to like the idea.

If we can set up a good time for you to come by my house and pick up the pocket logger, maybe I'll also be able to set up that same day as the first of this new Seattle area DSM club meet.

Anyway, let me know what you, and everyone else, think.

dude Sean you're a live saver,

ya I'm so down with that idea, I think I've heard someone metion that before in the forums but never really heard of anything actully happening.

I gave you a call and left a message, it seems like I call you right at the same time you call me because you're phone goes straight to voicemail and my phone tells me i have a missed call from you right after i hang up, anyways I'll try to call you again in an a hour or so

THanks again!

Glad we were able to meet up.

If you do end up researching the MMcd softwere... that reminds me, you'll need to re-sync the mmcd software to the palm because the batteries died.

Send me your email address in a pm and I'll send you the version i was using; you may have trouble downloading it off the net. Ill also send you the dell sync software you'll need to attach it to your PC. The PC will need a serial port, so a older laptop would be a sure bet for that.

If I would have known the batteries had died, I'd have loaded it with the software before I lent it to you.

We still going to be doing a monthly meet up for tuning etc? In the next couple weeks i hope to get the v3lite, 750cc injectors and a wide band put on the 2g and i have NO experience with link at all.

Yeah, I'd still like to have the tuning session meats!

Maybe we'll just have to have the first one at my house, seeings how no one else has put up their garage as being the hot spot for the get-to-gethers... Oh, and my transmission is making strange noises, so I've chosen to drive my Jetta until I pull the trans and find the issue.

P.S. Lets make a new thread for really nailing down a time and date for the meat. This thread should be fully devoted to my rants about not getting my data-logger back after lending it to one of our members! :|
