around 4-5k rpm it sounds like its blowin off. today it sounded more like misfiring. ill try to get a video on my way to work today and post when i get off. It happens everytime im givin it a decent amount of boost

ok, with that info, then your bov is bad, possibly the spring in it, and also check the vacuum lines to it.

Check the obvious for boost leaks on your intercooler/intake piping as well. When I had a pretty nasty leak at my top intercooler pipe connection, my BOV would seem to blow itself off once I gave it enough throttle and sort of bog until I shifted gears. Which, I know, sounds a bit strange.. if theres a boost leak why would there be enough pressure to blow off anyways.. well.. there was.. and it did.. hehehe. Just check it :)

man i havent touched the car since i bought it, other then gettin another dsmer to put a new clutch in, im pretty sure its a 1g bov. i checked the vacuum lines, they all lookin good.

will do

the 2G stock blow off valve is a black plastic piece of crap, if the previous owner put the 1G blow off valve on, it should be metal and I think the top is a goldish color.

The reason for my leak is my previous owner had some seriously dry rotted 1-ply couplers on the intercooler pipes. Replaced with 4ply silicone.
