Hi everyone. Recently a lucrative potential trade has come my way, but I can't quite choose whether I like my dsm or the other dsm better. That's where I come to you guys. So:
Which car would you rather have? (I'll describe both below)

My thoughts: My car is sexy as hell compared to a 1g i think and it would be faster right now, but the 1g is a rare find (6bolt/4bolt thats clean and mostly stock) and has more potential.

Car 1 (my car):
1995 Eagle Talon TSi FWD
act 2600, safc2, 650's, greddy ic pipes, greddy bov, 14b, 3" turboback, mbc, koni struts, eibach springs, 15k on minor motor and tranny rebuild (103k on shell), balance shafts removed, lots of other minor mods.
Extremely Clean
Bad: Cracked windshield, speedo quit working, stock rear struts
(Attached pics are of my car)

Car 2(trade opportunity):
1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (6 bolt/4bolt)
So much done to it that it would be easier to just put a link to the description...
AMAZING 1992 EAGLE TALON TSI AWD

So what do you guys think? I looked at the car in person and its everything that the add describes. Very clean and well taken care of as well.

Pros/Cons

My car:
Pro's- Sexy 2g, clean, more mods, act 2600 clutch, less loud interior, sunroof, extremely good daily driver, has a/c
Con's- FWD, Not as up to date on maintenance as the 1g

1g:
Pro's- AWD, 6/4 bolt, clean, More potential, very little that hasn't been replaced or rebuilt, needs nothing
Con's- Ugly 1g, Not as good for dailying, Not as many mods (will cost more to make faster at this point), red interior, oem clutch, no a/c

i must say.. ive owned atleast 14 2g awd dsm's! and am currently on my 2nd awd 1g (91 gsx). but ive ALWAYS said the best looking 1g is the 92(1gb) talon! and the 6/4 makes it all the better! that 1g is clean as F**K! id trade it if i were you. clean 1g's are hard to find, while 2g's are almost dime a dozen! atleast around me they are. either way good luck with your decision. ;)

Sounds like you're not really digging the 1g. All you really want is your car to be AWD. Maybe you should just check into the AWD swap or sell it and buy a 2g awd?

Exactly, even if the 1g in question is faster or even better becaue of the 6/4 it won't matter if you don't like it. It really sounds like you don't like the look of the 1g's ( IMO i think they're ugly as hell) Who cares if 2g's are a dime a dozen, that just means you'll have an easier time finding one that you like. Or if you have the money consider doing an AWD swap

I like the 1g 6/4 ,,,It's just finding one that was takin care of . I love the 2g bodies more so me,, I would prob do the awd swap . but hey that 1Gb is in awesome shape . Make sure you look at it's underside before you decide to get it . Looks can be deceiving. Just make sure the underside isn't all rusted . Gl and happy tuning

the last pic from the CL posting shows the timing belt, look at the side closest to the motor and see the groove that is cut into the entire thing. That is what my friends GVR4 belt looked like when he got it, there is a bolt in the oil pan that if put in the wrong spot it sticks up too far and causes that to happen. The belt will need to be replaces asap.

I just zoomed in and looked again, and it could be what i said, but not 100% without a clearer pic. just something to keep in mind.

my mother accidentally touched my timing belt while my car was moving. she screamed and yelled that she got shocked. :ohdamn: she also is not the brightest woman about cars, and probably the reason why the warning labels are there that show fingers getting cut off.

I say just get em both

Lol so true keep the 2g for the dd and build the 1g. That 1g is clean, I love the 1GB Talons they look so good, the interior almost matches the exterior which is cool.

The 1g looks like it taken car of and not to rusty.

But then again a awd swap isn't that bad to do:)

I've had them both already and I would honestly say that I would never trade my 1g for a 2g. 6bolt/4bolt :rocks:. That 1g is very clean. I will say that I do dig the interior of that 1g. LOL. But like mentioned in an earlier post. It seems that you arent digging the 1g and maybe you are only doing it for the AWD. If thats the case, just stick with your ride and maybe plan on doing an AWD conversion. I personally think that the 1g cars are nicer than the 2g cars but thats just my preferance.

sounds like there was a problem with the 1G and someone didnt know what they were doing and threw all kinds of new OEM parts at it till the problem stopped. but id keep your car you know alot more about it and are already comfortable in it.
