I'm looking to get some polyurathane motor mount inserts, i have two questions tho. 1, i have heard that you can make them yourself, if so, can anyone tell me how or give me a link to somewhere that tells me. 2, if i can't make them, can anyone tell me where i can buy them from??? thanks

awesome! thanks guys that's exactly what i was looking for

The mounts you do yourself are a little softer (durometer) than the ones you buy. For $20 dollars it really isn't worth the trouble of making them yourself. Word of caution, if you use all the poly mounts the car vibrates a LOT !!!! I couldn't take it so as a remedy I just left one side of the mount (back)installed. It still firms up the mount a lot but not so much that it is unbearable.

I and some others personally love the vibration (not recommended for use with hangover) but others have been known to hate it. First week or two is the biggest vibration but it does settle down.

You can buy different strenghts of the poly filler. 80dur will be stiffer than stock but not as much as inserts. I believe 90-100dur is what is typical of the poly inserts

looked at this link it says these are

for This solid Delrin (Acetal) motor mount fits both the front and rear mount brackets for the Chrysler / Dodge / Mitsubishi 2.5L V6 equipped vehicles
will these work on our cars to

Yes, the mounts are the same.

But it doesn't matter, he sends you the delrin insert that has to be pressed into the stock mount.

I had the delrin front and rear on my old V6 avenger. Vibrations were there but the motor did not move at all.

I have solid aluminum mounts on my 420a avenger now though.

I also recommend you upgrade the front bolt to the larger one (there is a how-to on 2gnt).

yea my friend has poly inserts in his Eclipse, which is actually how i learned about them, and i personally like the rough vibration, feels like power LOL. will poly mounts from a 4g63 engine work with my 420a?

how long did it take yours to come in i placed order on the 22 and still no mount. No tracking are any notification at all. I even emailed them. And no response????

When i ordered mine from Howell Automotive like 6 years ago it took me about a month and a half to get them and that's with going through customs and i also moved during that time from Quebec to Alberta (east coast to west coast) and it originally went to my previous location.

i personally love the vibration. makes your car feel like your in a big v8 and ready to haul ass. mix that with some aftermarket seats and damn expect to have a very enjoyable ride

Maybe i have just gotten used to the vibration now but i only really notice it at idle. and that's mainly because the hood bounces like it needs hoodpins LOL but when you rev it up it stops. So it's all good.

dont go cheap. get prothane motor mounts from CImotorsports.net

It takes a while to get but prothane makes the best mount inserts

I agree they are great but if you wont them on your front lower motor mount or rear lower motor mount you are out of luck all they sell are the plastic like inserts that i could find. so this is why i ordered the delrin mounts

well the delrin mount finely came in this morning. and got it installed it took about 5 mins with my press. pressed the old rubber mount out and pressed the new delrin mount in. the only snag i ran into was the hole on the new delrin mount was way bigger then the hole in the motor mount bracket i had to drill it out. but over all it is great:thumb:
