Today I went to minute muffler and got my exhaust rerouted under the cross member so I could finally run my gsx (yes that's gsx not gst or gs) sway bar I picked up at a local junkyard. Here are the pics.

P.S. Thee last pic is showing how i had the muffler angled up and out as I am a huge fan of that look

P.P.S. And for those of you who were wondering there is a huge improvement in handling. It reduced the body roll to almost nothing. I highly reccomend getting a rear sway bar if your car is not equipped with one stock. :thumb:

Do you notice a big difference with the new sway bar?
What is the diameter on a GSX sway bar, compared to a good aftermarket sway bar?
What did it cost for the exhaust work plus cost of the used sway bar?
Would it not normally work because the exhaust runs under instead of over?

Im not sure of the diameter. Its pretty thick, I think thicker than most aftermarket ones. It cost 40 bucks to get the exhaust rerouted. The sway bar and lower control arms were $100 bucks altogether at the junkyard. NO the oem gsx bar will not fit with the exhaust over the cross member.

Too much rear bar can cause oversteer, keep that in mind while you're getting used to the new handling characteristics of the car.

Thanks locke. I think the set up I have now is perfect. It feels great and and allmost all of the body roll is eliminated.:thumb:

EDIT: Also thanks to everyelse for the positive comments.

Wish my underbody looked like that. Very clean. Damn salt Chicago roads.
Looks good!

Update:

The gsx rear bar was slightly rubbing in three spots on the crossmember. I fixed the problem with by buying a strip of quarter inch steel that is 1.5 inches wide. I cut it down so I have to pieces that are about 2 inches long and rounded at the bottom. They go inbetween the cross member and the sway bar mounts. Almost all of the rubbing was solved I just had to file down the lip on the crossmember. The rubbing is no longer existant. I will post pics as soon as my car gets back from the shop. (threw a code during smog)

Thanks everyonme for the positive feedback. And ya, diamondrev stop by anytime u want just shoot me a pm. Why did I see your car forsale on craigslist a while back? Anyways, just got my car back from the shop only thing wrong was a broken o2 sensor. Well here are the pics of the spacers I made out of 1 1/2 inch wide quarter inch steel. Tell me what you think. Also any questions you may have feel free to ask.

Im going to take my tsudo exhaust to be angled more, what did you tell them? I have a feeling they wont know what im talking about

Just tell them to cut it off right before the second resnator (idk if your tsudo has one) but right before the front of the cross memeber and run it underneath it. Better yet, just print out pics of mine and take it to him.

Also... does anyone know if the oem 2g gsx front sway bar is the thickness as my 2g rs one? Thanks.

I will thanks, oh and the reason I was trying to sell is because my car wont pass smog here so I was trying to sell it. But now Im not because my dad is going to hold it for me in his shop until I get out of school.

now i have a gs and i have ordered the parts to put the rear sway bar on my car. so in order to bolt it on i have to have my exhaust rerouted?
