ive never hard of any of them. i guess because i was created in 1990

Most of the movies listed here are super stereo-typical crappy movies that have a little kick to them. The list that spoonman posted has some really good movies in there, and a lot that I haven't seen. It sucks that in the movie industry so many of the best movies go un-heard of because they don't have good advertising.

Also though a lot of people probably won't like a lot of those movies since they don't have huge explosions and corny lines. I suggest the list that spoonman posted to you if you enjoy a good book, if not then don't bother.

In no particular order...

Caddyshack
Starman
Toy Story (great original animation)
History Of The World Part 1
The Jerk
Something About Mary
Jurasic Park 1
Used Cars
Star Wars (watching the original in a theatre in the 70's was unreal)
Clerks (1 and 2)
From Dusk to Dawn
Halloween (the original)
Animal House
The Princess Bride

Many more I can't think of...

Donny Darko
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
big lebowski
forgetting sarah marshel
fight club
the cube
12 monkeys

Sex to Zero(korean movie) is pretty good. Similar to the Last American Virgin which the movie I have.
Butterfly Effect 1... haven't seen two... looks sorry
Minority Report
Star Wars all six hands down
the Star Trek 09 movie
Star Trek NG movies You don't need to be sci fi to love these movies, it just has great storylines/plots
Apocolypto- however you spell it
iron man movies
batman dark knight
Flower of the night< thai movie
District 9
Avatar
Terminator movies... part 3 sucked i think
Transformers 1 2 well see if 3's good
Road to perdition, cast away, green mile
Some of the movies you've guys listed arent in my top 75.... but that's just me. Everyone has their own taste!

Apocolypse Now!, Fear & Loathing, Blues Brothers, DR. STRANGELOVE, Die-hard (1 &3), Lord of the Rings flicks, Fight-Club, Edward Scissorhands, Big Lebowski, 12 Monkeys, 5TH ELEMENT (under-rated EPIC), Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, The Birds, Rear Window (and a dozen+ other Hithcock flicks), CADDYSHACK, The Jerk, The Man with Two Brains, LA Story, Punch-Drunk Love (same movie as LA Story), Vacation, Animal House, History of the world & Blazing Saddles, Goonies, Princess Bride, Lost in Translation, The Life Aquatic, Ghost Busters, BEING JOHN MALKOVICH (and the quasi-sequel; Adaptation), Logan's Run still rocks, Chocolate, Chinatown, The 9th Gate, EASY RIDER!, American Beauty,... I'm leaving-out most of the war-flicks, as they've been covered, but they are some of the most amazing productions out there.

Also, call me what you want, but the Harry Potter flicks are about as engrossing as film can be. They are right up there with the Lord of the Rings in their ability to totally immerse you in an entire imaginary universe. I haven't seen Avitar, but I hear that it takes that to a new level. The Star Wars story is awsome, but the visual FX and acting suck compared to the LOTR and the HP movies. In the HP movies you can really tell that each one was directed by someone else; some are notably superior to others, right down to the performance the director was able to coax out of the actors.

AND (seriously, guys): EVIL DEAD/ ARMY of DARKNESS! What the hell? And all three "man with no name" films: Fist Full Of Dollars, A Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly! High Plains Drifter? HIGH... high PLAINS... plains DRIFTER... drifter...

What? No mention of James Bond or Capt. Jack Sparrow? What the Hell? Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Ferris Beuller? Beuller, Beuller? Really? 16 Candles? Breakfast Club? Wierd Science? "How about a greazy pork sandwhich, served-up in a dirty ashtray?"?

Am I that old? I remember a surreal film called "Dirty Mary/Crazy Larry"; also referred to by the B-Boyz! The end will make you puke! "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"? Anyone seen it?

Oh yeah, and District 9 was amazing. It made me almost cry.
