today my manual boost controller arrived so i hooked it up and took my gst to the drag strip. Turned the boost up to 15 pounds and for the first few minutes it done great. But on the track when i would get to around 5500 rpms my car would feel and sound exactly like i was hitting the rev limiter. Is there anyway that my rev limiter could've moved? Am i hitting fuel cut?

do you have a boost gauge? if so was the turbo spiking passed 15psi, and if you didnt titen the bolt on the boost controller then your boost could of when up causing fuel cut.

yeah, ive got a boost gauge, it said 15 pounds exactly, but when it would get up to 5500 to 6000 it would just stop going up and it sounded like it was hitting the rev limiter. and about the bolt i thightened it up until it stopped rattling like it said to

Yea it appears that you have no fuel mods, so if your turning boost up to 15 its could very well be fuel cut. I have had it happen before and its pretty violent thing. Also the rev limiter should be higher than 6000 unless it was changed so its most likely not that. You could also check for boost leaks

Also, make sure you have colder plugs, like some ngk's or something. Cheap or stock plugs won't cut it when increasing the boost.

^^ dont listen to this guy, you are NO WHERE near needing colder plugs. Once you have more mods and fuel upgrades and your boost is past 15psi, then you will want to go to 7s. Bpr6s are just fine for you now, just get the gap on them, its possible for the gap to have increased now however.

I ran 6s on 16psi all day on my 14b.

Also do a boost leak test, just always good to do. But i highly doubt your hitting fuel cut on a t25 at 15psi....

What are your mods? If not any, youre touching fuel cut.

my boost controller might be hooked up wrong. I followed turbo xs's instructions but i was reading that i was supposed to T into the hose going to my bov. could this be my problem?

Boost cut is like hitting a wall, when i hit it (running 19psi on a small 16g, with evo pump and 450s) the car bucks real hard. I highly doubt this is what you are feeling at 15psi on a T25.

So like i said, check for boost leaks and check the plugs. The gap may be messed up, also your wires could be shit.

It probably a boost leak and its probably on the exhaust side, not the turbo/intake side.

I would say that the motor is probably missing pretty badly in the higher RPMs, possibly due to a lack of fuel with no fuel mods (which I doubt), or old spark plugs and/or spark plug wires. I would first begin with a new set of spark plugs and wires, since they are pretty cheap, gap them to .028", and see what happens then.

so theres no way that its where i hooked the boost controller up wrong?

If your boost is holding 15 psi solid, like you say it is, then your boost controller is hooked up correctly.

I'd turn the boost down a little, like 12-13psi and see how it pulls.
Like the other guys said, I'd also get fresh plugs and wires, and gap the plugs to .028"

Then upgrade your fuel pump so you can run a few more psi.

sounds like plug gap... i was able to talk the guy down $800 bucks when i got my car because it would misfire up around 5k with the t25... after i got it home i pulled the plugs, which he said he had replaced recently, gapped them down and the car ran perfect.

fuel cut is literally, wwwwwssssssssss spppootttoooossshhh, car hits brick wall, your head goes forward, its backfires and pops like a bi***.

My racing steering wheel was not soft when I skipped off it during "Fuel Cut". That sh@ts is no joke! You would know if it happened, it's violent! Honestly, you should check everything that everybody said so far , AND it think you should definatly check your compression. That could be a good possiblity why you still hit boost, but have no power.

similar thing happened to mine without any mods right before my coils needed to be changed out... plugs, wires, and ignition coils... oddly both went out right after another... but anyway, as i was saying... i would accellerate, hit boost... and it would sputter really bad... just my two cents. hope you figure it out!

i went to start my car today and itll start but it doesnt run good. if i rev it up in neutral i can stomp it but it wont tach past 3000 rpms and it spits and sputters. i changed the plugs and it didnt help, and a guy told me that since i have the stock injectors that i should cut my maf translator off.
