Yeah the chip for my 650 injectors 2g maf and other stuff decided to burn. Cheap ebay type china knock off with voids and air pockets in the hard coating. The car still runs and i am still having the same problem of it not revving past 4500-5500- or sometimes 6500. I have checked everything and it has to be ecu related as i put a stocker or any other ecu and it will run to 7500.

I have checked for the volts and ohm's between the circuits and all the voltage is checking out fine. the car still runs and boosts fine with the burned chip so i guess the board is fine.

These are questions i need answered.

What happens when you stick eprom chip in backwards? I need to know as the chip was soldered in backwards, from the repair shop.

Where i can buy a new chip? Cheap and fast only one i know of is http://simon.chi.il.us/ECU/ECURepair.html

What else or how else can i check the board with an ohm/volt meter? Or what tools do i need?

Any thoughts or advice would be helpful thanks.

Well....from my little experience with IC chips, it should not work each chip as a power and ground on opposite sides and the fatherst away from one another. This is just what I know about IC chips an EE could go into more detail!

I put my first chip in backwards and the second I tried to turn the car over it started smoking and fried the chip.

I checked the board and even with the same chip in it it will start the car. I checked the voltage and ohms on the board and it seems to be fine. The board and chip start and run the car but it still wont rev past 4500-5500- or sometimes 6500.

Not sure why anyone would solder in a chip...
Sounds like you need to have it socketed... DSMChips.com | Socketing Service
