and a new 02 housing for the downpipe.

where can i find the turbo manifold having a hard time would also like it to have a waste gate

just wondering cause i need the answer to this as well are the turbo manifolds the same for 1-2g or no?

thanks guys

You're asking questions that are literally answered on the first page of the Holset FAQ thread on this site.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/362444-holset-turbos-faq.html

Since your profile's mod list has absolutely nothing on it, I can only assume your car is bone stock....in which case I recommend taking care of a few supporting mods before you bolt on a 60 lb/min turbo and external wastegate.

Well im not trying to be a dick, but make sure maint. is up to date first. then check this out..Tech Guide: 1G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners

then if you're sure this is the way you want to go with your car, then read
these http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/371627-holset-turbos-part-8-a.html

Read each part 1-8. There is everything you need to know about Holset Turbos in there. If you have questions after that, im sure people would be more than willing to help you out. The question posed in your thread suggests that you know little about Holsets. This information is here to help you, i'd really hate to see you mess something up based on a members recomendation without you knowing for sure that it will work. Sorry about the rant i hope this helps!! GL

wow wow wow

ok hold up sorry i knew there was a whole holset but am not stock

i have thus far

255 fuel pump
fuel regualtor
cometic head gasket
arp head studs
balance shafts delete
big fmic
1000cc injectors
safc
new everything gaskets and waterpump timing belt and everything
flushed everything and cleaned out rad and new fluid

just want to know a few things about them

You would need a better way to control those 1000cc's other safc. Something like dsmlink. You would either need the bolt on bep housing or the t3 bep housing. Then t3 or mitsu manifold with a wastegate off the mani or the o2 housing. And probably a custom downpipe/o2 would need to be made since its not a bolt on turbo unless you get mitsu flange housing.

It would be good to update your profile to reflect what you have. As stated above, figure out which turbo you want to run and then choose which housing. The housing will determine your exhaust setup. Oil feed and drain setup is described in the Holset oil threads.

I have no idea how you are controlling the 1kcc injectors with an SAFC as that's only good for 750cc somewhat reliably. DS-MAP, ECMLink, Ceddy Mod is what you will need. Read over the threads a couple of times and you will get the info you need.

thanks needed some help with that i couldnt find the holest info i found it once but couldnt seem to find it

on a side note i cant find the info i was asking for about the manifold for them

there all t-3 with a split? from what i read and have seen that seems to be the case i guess my question is can u use just a regular t3 without the split without it leaking?

You need to grammar check your posts as this one was hard to understand.

There is another thread dealing with manifolds.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/341834-manifolds-work-holset-hx35-hx40.html

The Holsets came with with both T3 and T4 style flanges and I'm pretty positive that most if not all were divided housings using what's called "twin scroll"

Most people will get a new turbine housing as the stock housing is freaking massive and you would want to run a twin scroll setup on there which in the best configuration uses a divided exhaust manifold and 2 external wastegates. This setup costs $$$$ but has the best spool.

The other 2 solutions are getting the BEP (Bullseye Performance) housing. Usually you would get an external gate housing. This is what a majority of people do when getting a Holset.

There is the T3 flange and the Mitsubishi flange.

The T3 flange requires a T3 exhaust manifold (ERL :thumb:) and a vband downpipe to be made. Using a undivided manifold on a divided housing will cause spool up to suffer.

The Mitsubishi flange is the stock style flange and inlet on our cars so any "bolt on" manifold will work. The FP Race manifold is a good choice to use on this setup but the water pipe will need to be dented slightly.

Both come in different A/R and will give you different spool and topend power differences.

Do your research as it's all in the threads and you'll get all the info you need.
