Ok so before I get flamed for not searching, I have and have tried about 20 different things that other members have suggested and none of them have worked for me! Basically the story goes as my palm died and mmcd got erased as it always does, I figured no problem ill just hotsync and reload it. Well I have tried on two different computers and it will not sync no matter what I have tried. So I am wondering if anyone has had this problem to where they cant figure out how to get it to sync. I dont want to buy another one but ive got to have one. If anyone has some words of wisdom it would be greatly appreciated!!

What exactly do you mean it won't hotsync?. Is the hotsync starting, but not communicating with the computer and Palm or do you get hotsync messages and no transfer of MMCd? If you can be a bit more specific, it'll help diagnose the problem.

It will start the sync process and go for about 30 seconds and then a long message will pop up and its the same message everytime. Saying something along the lines of there is some problem and it cannot connect with the computer and or palm.

Thanks

Are you using computers with vista? If so there are 2 programs you need to install on your pc. Rigth now I,m having problems logging on to 1glink.com to get the info. I had posted there about doing this. I think the programs are Palm desktop 6.2 and hot sync manager. Check out (Http://forums.palm.com ) Hope this helps.

I just re-read this. Is it just the MMCd that won't sync or is the Palm not talking at all to the computer. Also, what version of Palm Desktop are you using? I'm using a downloaded version from Palm, because I didn't have the original CD. There's a way to add the MMCd back to the Palm and do a fresh sync/install. Try opening the Palm software and on the "file" button click "import" and find where your MMCd program is and add it to be hotsync'd the next time you do a hotsync.

If it's not talking to the computer at all, check all your connections at the cradle and computer. Then check to make sure the correct port is open for the cradle to talk to your computer.
