1993 eclipse that developed a misfire _ Ive changed the plugs new wires - checked timing even thought maybe the cam senser was going bad but still no dice ,Short of perhaps a bad injecter any one got any ideas to help here --also changed coil pack and the resister next to it .Id appreciate any ideas you guys may have to offer here .thanks. remember this is a non turbo -------also changed ecus....

I've had this problem with both of my DSM's and it was the spark plug gaskets not having a good seal. There will be oil on the sprk plug threads and depending on the width of your plug wires there is usualy oil around them where the seals are.

to check if your ISC motor is bad use an ohm meter and measure the resistance between the top left and the top middle of the plug, should be around 28 ohms, if more replace it.

ok changed all the above mentioned with new parts --still have this mis fire --anything else you guys might possibly be able to toss at me would be very helpful -thanks

Exactly what did you replace with a new part?

replaced new cam senser - new wires new plugs - did not just drop them in used care when installing --- changed coil packs off a car that had no issues ------along with a ecu that came from a running car rechecked timing and triple checked it also a new resister pack and installed new fuel filter replaced injecters off of a running car im at wits end -----seems its just when i start to get to about 3 grand --------also set the ignition timing at 5 degrees ---

My car did that too, move the fuel line thats attached to the fuel pressure regulator around and see if the engine responds at all. If not then I'm all out of ideas.

ok yes forgot new fpr as well-------- im beginning to think its something internal ?........any one have any thoughts on that?

Did you do a compression test?

195 across the board - fresh motor ------but finaly found out what was wrong and im kicking myself in the arse ------maf sensor had a broken wire inside the canister ----:banghead:.........but again i appreciated every ones help very much ----------so to all of you a big THANK YOU :thumb:
