Hey guys,
Okay, in all seriousness, I am making a lot of changes in life and would like to just throw this out there.
I am returning to school, getting a full time job, and am going to be supporting a family. I need a good reliable car. Now I am not an idiot when it comes down to maintaining cars and very well know that DSM's are actually good cars. I have had 6 Mitsu's (3 of which were turbo 4G63ts) already and am very aware of how they are to maintain and keep going.
Now here's the situation: I have a 95 TSi AWD AUTO with only 70K. The tranny went out a few months (thank you very much Mr. guy who sold it to me), so I have been in the process of replacing it. The entire drivetrain is out of the car, so I have the chance to rebuild it. Since the engine leaks all over the place, I am replacing pretty much every gasket on it for safe measures, and because it's easy. After I clean it up, it will look like a showroom car (that's how I work), and I'll be able to sell it for about $5,500-$6,000 (I've already had offers for when it's finished).
But I need a reliable car, to get me through school. I know what I am doing with cars, but I am wondering, should I go get a different car, or keep the DSM? I just want to know what you think? I personally would like to keep the DSM and replace a bunch of things on it, just as a precaution. But, that's me. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
