Alright, had a quick question for all the experts in here. I need to replace my MAF for a new one. Now, since I'm getting a new MAF I figured I would get something that is a little better than stock, but I would prefer not to change the injectors, pump, just yet. OR can I just do something to the current one I have to fix it? Also If I use the car with the MAF disconnected, will it cause damage? It's my daily and I'm gona need it while I get the replacement. Thanks in advance for all the help.
PS: if anybody has a MAF to sell let me know, thanks.

You will definitely need a MAF, or else your ECU will have no idea what air enters the engine. Just pick up a used MAF, most people will have one kicking around...DO NOT BUY NEW. Your stealership will rob you.

always got the option of a GM MAF if you wanna spend that kinda money.

2G mafs and GM maf are not hard to find in junk yards. Although the GM will cost more, especially the translator. If you get a 2G maf my freind pneumo is a wiz at programing chips if you have en eprom ecu. He's honest and the cheapest eprom guy I know. Thats his screen name "pneumo" here at DSMtuners.
