i have a 2g eagle talon awd going to drop a 6 bolt and wondering what is the best way to get 400h plus hp please help out LOL

No shit. That's like saying you can make 400whp on the stock ECU with no tune at all.

I assumed we were talking about the engine itself here.

if we were talking about only the engine... i like how you pointed out the turbo and the cams, but not everything else necessary, phrasing it the way you did you could have just said, upgrade the turbo, fuel, and head. You cant be descriptive in some areas and expect someone asking a question to assume the rest. Look at ALL the other posts. see how they described the tuning and fuel as well... hmm, must be some sort of a pattern.

Well in that case:

  • New Timing Belt and Components
  • Eliminate the balance shafts
  • Delta 272 Regrind cams
  • A decent short-route FMIC setup
  • Ported 2G or Evo III manifold
  • Holset HX35 or BW S256 with a DSM bolt-on turbine housing
  • 38mm external gate / o2 housing to support external gate
  • Full turbo-back 3" exhaust
  • ACT 2600 clutch or equavalent
  • 255lph pump / adjustable pressure regulator
  • 850cc injectors
  • ECMLink / Ostrich or equivalent for tuning

Give it hell.

yah thats a list, woo man I wish I could start from scratch with enough money to just do it all at one time.

You don't have to do it all at one time. First put the car on e85.. Throw the cams in. Blah blah blah Why do all that if you reach your goal before getting all of that done?

justmx where do you get the turbine housing for the hx35 to bolt on to a dsm manifold?
Bullseye Power or any one of their distributors whenever they're available. Lately it seems Bullseye has a habit of casting about 1/3rd as many housings as they can sell in order to create a shortage and (seemingly) drive prices up.

No offence to any fellow dsmrs. But I hit 11s with stock injectors.. and I thinkk 11s is like in the 400hp range ;) ... this was my old set up , evo 16g ,safc2, fidanza flywheel, act street clutch, turbo xs b/c, k&n air filter, injen intake pipe,1g bov, alum pulleys,....but every now and then I got a lil fuel cut sputter! But like I said stock injectors... but I have a jdm enjine

Oh. I forgot to mention that I also had a walboro 255,,,,,

Stock injectors from what? You could be using Evo VIII or IX injectors....those are "stock" too. With no mods to the ECU and an Evo III 16G, you should've been running out of fuel at 20psi of boost unless your base fuel pressure was 65psi.

Curious as to what you were using the AFC for if you had stock injectors...unless you were really doing some "fine tuning" to the fuel curve.

No offense to you, but I just don't see 450's generating enough fuel to power your car to the 11's with an Evo III 16G unless your car weighs 2000 pounds. This is a feat that has taken most guys a while to reach with larger turbos, lots of boost, and much more fuel than what 450's can provide.
but I have a jdm enjine
Nevermind, that explains it.

Well to be compleatly honest it was 11.9 :) ... and like I said I got minor fuel cut stuters... but yea it was 11.9 and after that it whent up to 12.3 and stayd constant.. on awd. Now I'm going for a reliiable low 11.. and I had have an evo 3 motor..

Wich is a jdm 4g63
