ok so first off. the clutch is fine. grabs fine, releases fine. replaced clutch bearing with factory one as the one from act disintegrated. i adjusted my clutch pedal to have about an inch or so of free play and grab a bit off the floor. every once in a while, the pedal play would disappear and the clutch would grab high(still engaged fine). now the pedal is like that all the time. interestingly enough, its actually smoother to shift gears( probably had the clutch adjusted too low). checked for leaks from clutch master and clutch slave, none to be found. but again the clutch works fine. was thinking maybe there are bushings or somthing on the clutch pedal assembly that went?? not really sure. anybody ever have this problem???

oh yeah, i replaced the clutch bearing back in like october.

is the masters cylinder adjusted properly? if you adjusted it to far out and the hole leading up to the resivor is blocked,, the hydrolic system has lost its ability to adjust automatically to clutch wear and other changes

look up jackstransmissions on youtube to make sure you did that right -- im just throwing ideas out there i may be completely wrong

good luck finding the problem either way

It also sounds like you may have air in the lines. Have you thoroughly bled the hydraulic clutch system? Also, you can check to see if your clutch pedal assembly is bad by looking under the dash at the master cylinder push rod while you press on the clutch pedal with your hand. You should see the push rod move immediately upon pushing the clutch pedal. If you can push the clutch pedal down like an inch before you see the push rod move toward the firewall, you have a bad clutch pedal assembly. Hope this helps.

ok, i know the pedal assembly ist bad. was just under there yesterday to adjust the clutch. i adjusted the push rod and got it to grab at a comfortable height. got in the car this morning and no clutch!! adjusted the pushrod again and its ok now but still isnt consistent. going to do a thorough bleed on the system and readjust after and see what i get.
