Need some help replacing a wire in the MAF Plug. It looks like the lock is the grey section surrounding the pins. I've depressed all 4 locks, still can't get the grey part out. How do you replace the wire. Found the write up replacing the wire in the ECU plug, can't find anything on the other end.

Now, I might be completely wrong here, but why not cut the wire an inch or two away from the plug and then splice in the new wire? Not only would it make life easier on you, but it would also be easier to reverse if something goes wrong. Just a thought, good luck w/ it :thumb:

I've already tapped in the wire at both ends and ran a jumper. Didn't solve the problem. To narrow down where the problem lies I wanted to make sure I've got good connections at both ends.
