Registration is now open for both portions of the autocross at VMP on Sunday May 9 2010 with NASA Mid-Atlantic.

The day is now effectively considered a 4-heat autocross for a maximum of 20 entries per heat, starting one hour earlier than usual across the board (reg/tech at 9am not 10am, first kart off at 11am not noon.)

Heats 1 and 3 will be for karts, heats 2 and 4 will be for cars, with alternating work/run assignments accordingly.

Karts are being provided by Summit Point Kart , they are 14hp Sodi RX7 units capable of 50-60mph and they are a blast to drive. The cost to rent a kart is $10 on top of the normal autocross entry fee (add another $10 either way for day-of signups, if there are any spots left.)

Participants are welcome to sign up for either portion or both portions. Yes indeed, you can run a rental kart in one heat and your car in one of the other heats, and appear on the results twice, and maybe win stuff too.

If you are a newbie, I will ride with you and be your "instructor" or get one for you if this is your first time. I have over 30-40+ autocrosses and years of road racing experience and of course a DSMer So join me and a fellow dsmer (White97DSM) fr the best autoxing on the east coast.

Wow, seems pretty late to open up registration now for an event next weekend.

Registration was open, I just am really lazy about posting stuff up. However we are really short on registrations. This event is for May 9th obviously. The next one wont be till October.. a shame because I like NASA wayyyyyy over SCCA autocrosses.
