I think it's my turbo. It's a bullseye HX-35 at 26 psi with an FP inline filter with a .100" orifice restrictor. I think that the restrictor might not be small enough when the line is coming off the filter housing, but it's gotta be in the right ballpark. Anywho, my car eats oil at full throttle and this was confirmed by my friend driving behind me and telling me that every time I punch it I get a haze of blue smoke. There is also oil in the intake tube (and I'm sure it is all over my intercooler too).

My question is, will rebuilding the turbo with new bearings/bushings/snaprings that come in a standard rebuild kit fix it?

Is there anything else I can do to extend the life of the turbo after it's rebuilt?

First things first you need to remove the turbo and make sure it does not have excessive shaft play, and that that comp and ex wheels have not made contact with either housing. If not have it sent to a reputable turbo rebuilder to be rebuilt and balanced. I would suggest also you set up a oil pressure gauge somewhere inline of your oil feed to measure exactly what oil pressure you are getting to the turbo at idle and throughout the rpm range. Here is a link to the factory oiling specs also.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/244467-holset-hx-35-oiling.html

Pretty sure it's the turbo here. I can do a compression check but the last time I did it it was fine. Plus the oil in the intake is sort of indicative of the turbo.

After reading that holset oiling thread it's pretty clear to me that I putting too much pressure in and the -10an is not big enough on the way out. I think the -10 line would be okay if I was feeding it properly. The FP "restrictor" is actually .125!!!! It's not doing much restriction at all. I'm going to get it down to around 0.070 or 0.080 and keep it off the filter housing on my next oil change.
