Hey guys hows it going? Ive been running through the search on here and reading everything i could come across for tuning a 1g with similar setups to mine but none speak much as to what exactly their settings are. Everything i've read has pointed towards around -13% for my setup. But at -13% im not getting a reading at all at idle, cruise reads between 16-18 and WOT reads 11.8. It sputters a little at start with these settings, then accelerates normally. No black smoke from running to rich or any thing. I moved the % around quite a bit and finally got it to run about 15.0 at cruise and 11.8 at WOT but with my mods i didnt run anywhere near the times i should have at the track(it also made the timing advance on the logger act up). Looking for ne help you guys could give. Here is a mod list. Thanks for any help in advance.

Well 11.8 afr at WOT is very lean on pump gas, unless your running e85, race fuel or meth injection I would richen it up a lot. I would run 11.1 at the leanest. With my old setup it liked 10.9 on gas. If timing is a little high it will cause knock, you can pull some base timing out with the CAS if needed.

I run 93 octane all day everyday. Ive never put any race gas in it. Every setup ive seen from other people has had around -13% for setups like mine. But at -13% mine ist giving me a reading at all when idling. Right now at -9%(lo side) -13%(hi side) correction mine is giving me 11.8 WOT and right now its barely registering at cruise on the wideband. A issue im seeing is when i make pulls is im getting up to 38 degrees timing advance(at lower rpms) but when i hit 5000rpms it drops down to 10degrees. Heres a comparison from my logger all during the same pull.

RPM 4281--------------------------------------RPM 5562
INJD 32.0%-----------------------------------INJD 78.9%
KNCK 9 ---------------------------------------KNCK 9
02-R 0.00V(idk y it isnt reading)
TPS 42.9%------------------------------------TPS 99.6%
TIMA 25 degrees -----------------------------TIMA 10
02-F 2.50V ------------------------------------2.5V

When i checked the timing with my timing light I adjusted the CAS so that its sitting at -5BTDC(checking it while looking down throught the engine bay). But ive heard from a guy say with the unorthodox pulley you need to check in through the fenderwell and set it that way? Any insights on this?

Update i went ahead and wired in my 2g maf and started out at -10 for the correction. Ive gone everywhere between -10 to positive 10 without any big changes. Only thing i see is that everytime i cruise its around 15-17 and when i let off it goes to 12-13 and then back to 17 and then ---. Ne ideas? This safc is a big paint in the butt for me right now. Ive been reading and reading and reading trying to understand this thing and i cant seem to make ne headway at all.

Well it took a little while of messing around and some major correction changes. This is what it took to get decent a/f readings. I had to take my low side corrections to +13(Lo) to get a 15.3 a/f at idle and cruise, and i had to go to -3%(Hi) to get 12.2 at WOT. It idles alot smoother but the lo side correction percentage seemt o be completely off the wall compared to other people running a 2g maf, 580's and 190 fuel pump. I did a compression test(150 across the board), double checked the timing its -5 btdc, but im still getting a knock count of 9 anytime I go above 30% on my throtte position sensor. Any ideas?

For knock I know that the safc 2 is counting every 'knock signal'. Not actual knock. So anything the knock sensor throws out there legit or not is counted.

Gotcha. Im gonna tweak it some more tommorow and try to get the WOT down to around 11:4 at least and my idle to 14.7. Im not seeing ne issues with fuel trims, and the car keeps running better and better so ill get it where i think its good to go and if ne thing comes up ill end up having to pay someone to do it. Unless theres any in depth insite here.
