Hey guys i have one that has stumped me and i want to see if other people have any ideas.

First off this is an intermittent problem which only happens occasionally, which is very frustrating. The car wont start it has spark compression but no fuel. I found this out by spraying starter fluid into the throttle body and it started right up.

Heres the things i have confirmed to be working
1. Fuel injectors, they all have good resistance and are receiving 12v at both connectors
2. MPI relay tested it via This linkl and all three tests were per spec
3. ECU is fine, doesnt smell check engine light goes off when key is in "ON" position and boost gauge goes to 0.
4. Has a little under 1/4th tank of gas
5. Fuel is getting to the fuel rail it spilled out when i disconnected it.
6. Injector resistor pack tested good via This link
7. Fully charged battery jumped to another running car.

It seems like my problem is from getting the signal to "fire" the fuel injector? I dont think both wires should be showing 12volts but i dont know. Thank you for your help with this. One last thing, the car started perfectly and ran for 3 min yesterday and now today it isnt starting =(

Im not too familiar with the 1g setup. I know in the 2g/7g(galant) the crank angle sensor tells the car to fuel and fire. Are you getting spark as well? Does the cam angle sensor in the 1g control fuel and fire? If it does id check there. Good luck!

I'd say cam angle sensor.. or ecu.. Dumb question but does the car have an alarm with a kill switch?

The car is getting spark as well but i will check the CAS, but logic says that if im getting spark on all 4 that the fuel isnt messed up.
The ecu checked out fine so its not that, the car does not have an alarm system.
Keep the ideas comming

Just remember your cas controls fuel and spark...I had a friends 1g who had a similar issue and it was his CAS acting up..You check the pump itself? If you want pull one of the lines off the rail and have a friend cycle the key on and off real quick..

Well i guess it pays to check the simple things. I was really really stumped when i checked the CAS and confirmed it was shooting out spark AND fuel. Then i realized my spark plug wires looked wrong... and they were. I must of changed them sometime. now it runs good thanks for all the help!
