Okay for those of you that dont know I just finished putting in a 16g, fmic and all those goodies.

I was messing around with the afpr and got it to pull...finally. It pulls hard to redline in first and to 5500 rpm in second and then backfires. this is all in WOT. if i keep flooring it in 2nd after the first backfire it does it again then keeps pulling harder. It sucks ### i can see all this power it has now, just need to find a way to get it not to backfire. someone help!!!!!!!!!

what do you have your fpr set at. sounds like fuel cut. when it backfires if you let out of the throttle a little will it quit back firing but keep pulling.

its set at 41-42 ish i belive I know stock is 43.5 but it seems like when it was that high it wouldnt pull at all. like no spool or anything. so i turned it down but it idles rough then sometimes.

How much boost are you running? According to your profile you are running stock injectors. This sounds like BAD DETONATION to me. Fuel cut is different. Get some injectors and a S-AFC (PM Me if you want one :) ) and tune it. I don't think you are getting enough fuel.

First off, put your AFPR back at 43.5 base pressure and don't touch it unless you know what you're doing.

im running stock boost. how am I not getting enough fuel? I have a walbro 255, fuel labs afpr. On stock boost i should be okay.

Stock boost on a LARGER TURBO does NOT mean you are flowing the same amount of air. You are significantly increasing the amount of air going into your engine, and chances are, you are running out of fuel (especially with 450cc injectors and your base fuel pressure turned down). How are you tuning the car? Do you have a wideband? Any way to log engine parameters?

If you don't, STOP DRIVING THE CAR LIKE AN IDIOT UNTIL YOU GET SOME LOGGING CAPABILITIES. An engine behaving the way it is without you knowing what it's doing, is going to DIE if you keep flogging it.

good deal yea boost leaks will cause that also but if it was all done by a professional that knows these cars than yo are good.

yeah Im just worried about the amount of boost. it hits fuel cut at 20 psi. Its a ebay 16g that I got for free, how can I lower the boost? Cant use a mbc because thats what the wastegate is set at. help?
