I have a 97 gst with a stock 7 bolt that needs rebuilt and new cams, I have a 6 bolt engine from a 90 galant gsx that has everything but flywheel and throttle body. Now I have read how to do the swap using the magnmus method but that is using a 4g63t and I believe my 6 bolt is nt so I'm wondering what I need to get this engine ready so I can do the swap. I know the pistons are different there are no oil squirters and I heard came are different. Can I use my 2g pistons with 1g rods to get the Turbo compression? Also what else will I need to do or purchase? BTW I am planning on using 1g block and head but if recommended I can use my 2g Turbo head.

If this were 4 yrs ago then I'd say go with the 6bolt but after I going through it and after the years I've seen alot of people rebuilding their 7bolt and making good power with out the crank walk I would rebuilt the 7bolt..
