Hi guys. Ok so I finally came to the conclusion that I really need to recirculate my bov again.:hmm: The guy I bough the car from took out the old turbo intake and replaced it with an Injen intake that has a 2g maf on it. I wanted to know if I could put my old Dajon intake on and remove the maf one because its blocking my recirc route. Would that mess with my ecu or anything?:ohdamn: I think i can put a pic up if needed but its pretty self explanatory. Thanx in advance.

The stock 1g harness still looks intact and not hacked up so you should be fine with installing the 1g MAS.

I dont know if it just me but it looks like you also have a GM MAF installed as well? I see a black plug above your BOV that looks like a GM MAF

Hard time understanding what you are saying. A pipe is a pipe, so as long as you can connect the MAF the the Dejon intake and has a recirc fitting, then you will be good to do. You need the MAF or some form of MAS so the ECU knows how much air is entering.

Ok I think I got a little confused. I do have a GM Maf. I wanted to know how to recirc it because I dont have the stock MAS. I only have this one. Can I maybe turn the BOV around and run a hose sort of in a loop to my dajon.

If you have the GM MAF in the upper intercooler pipe, you don't have to recirculate. If it's in the intake pipe (replaced your stock MAS), then you need to recirculate.

Edit: Just saw there is a picture in the first post (stupid slow connection). If you're using the GM MAF, then you don't need to recirculate.

It doesnt even look like the GM MAS is hooked up!?

Magick, do you have a translator for the GM MAS or is the GM MAS just hooked inbetween the intercooler pipes and nothing plugged into it?

You cant use the GM MAS with translator AND a stock 1g or 2g MAS. Like snowborder said if you use the GM MAS, you dont need to recirc the BOV. If you are using a stock 1g or 1g MAS, it is very advisable to recirc the BOV.

Oh wow I see what you guys are talking about. I was confused. The stock MAS is on the intake pipe from the throttle body right? If yea then no its not plugged in its just there. Im talking about the black box on the turbo intake. Thats the 2g maf or w.e right? I havnt had the car for that long and Im still working out how everything was put together. Sorry if I sound like an Ultra NOOB LOL.:aha:

The "black box on the turbo intake" is the stock MAS area. The previous owner swaped a 2g mas in for the 1g mas. You do not need to have a stock mas and a gm mas. Is there possibly a plug down below the GM MAS that is not plugged into anything? You need to do some more digging into the engine bay to see if the previous owner completed the GM MAF install or if they started to do the swap and never finished it.

Look around and see if you see a box like this anywhere

Oh the maf translator? I believe he said I could install one. I guess that he was incinuating that he didnt put one. The 2g mas(black box on turbo intake) IS plugged up. But the other one(on intercooler pipe) isnt.

Edit* I just checked under the gm mas? No other wiring. So i guess no maft

So it sounds like you're running on the 2g MAS, since the GM MAF isn't plugged in and you don't think you have the translator. Yes you'll want to recirculate your BOV.

It looks like that intake pipe does not have a recirculation fitting so you'll need a different pipe. Or buy a translator for the GM MAF and get rid of the 2g MAS and that intake pipe and vent properly. The choice is up to you.

Ok yeah thats what i was saying. I do have a Dejon recirculating intake pipe. But it will get rid of the entire 2g maf altogether. So i would have to get an maft to use on the gm maf before i run this pipe right?
