you better ####ing come down, or ill pimp slap you on COD like i always do
Oh, I'll be down, I just hope I have the Evo back from the body shop by then. Someone cut me off in traffic, and Mitsubishi is terrible at getting parts to people.

If I get it back this week it'll most likely be Friday.

what an asshole
high school girl driving a saturn. i am sure she just goes to a sam's club and buys new plastic body panels.

Absolutely! Good Luck! In my experience, the hardest part is getting the pedals mounted. Do that first so that the rest of the swap will seem like oil-change-easy! Also, have a good set of hole-saws![/QUOTE]

thanks. i will be up for the next one. im also doin an eibach pro kit on kyb gr2's tho id rather have agx's the budget says difeerent. and thats also what the v faq said so i think ill follow it for the most part besides the rear end n t-case n shaft but they r easy.

I have a vague update because the message I was left was just as vague. Anything in quotes is as much info as I have.

They got "some parts" today. They also found out that reconditioning of my bumper "didn't work" and said something about a "stand-in". When they tore into it to do the core support, they found "more damage", and so it'll take "longer".

I'll be calling for clarification tomorrow morning because I'm not at all happy with the little info I was given.

Chances are near 100% at this point that I'll be seeing you ####ers in the Talon

I might not, though. I need to find out why my spool time keeps increasing, I may end up needing a new turbo on it. If so, I'm not putting 500 miles on it in a weekend. I'm hoping it's a boost leak, but I think I'd have blown a coupler by now.

I've been banking on having the Evo back so I can tear into it, but it doesn't look like that'll happen now.

idk if ima be there ima try to be i still have 2 more weeks till i get my lisence back so im trying to find a buddy to drive. dont ever get a owi:(

Checked the turbo bolts tonight, sure enough shit was backing out again. I swear to god it's time to weld the thing to the manifold I'm so ####ing sick of the problems those bolts give me.

So the Talon's fine after all, just being a DSM as usual.

Scratch that, in the light I can see the bolt tightened down 1/8" above the washers. So that same ####ing bolt broke again. I really just want to be done with this car.

Well, I'm starting to think maybe the bolt's not broken, but I definitely can't loosen or tighten it beyond a certain range, about 3 turns. I'll be breaking out the PB Blaster tomorrow and soaking the #### out of it, maybe get it to come out, but somehow I doubt it'll be as easy as I'd like. If the car could ever sit long enough to cool down I could do more work, but I'm honestly running around too much to be spraying flammable lubricants at an exhaust turbine with a 1400 degree leak...

As things stand, I'm between driving the 'Stang or not going. I'm getting the Evo back from the body shop on Monday, one business day late, just to add insult to injury.

If anyone is going to the meet and has a stock or aftermarket intake for a 2g mas let me know.

If you drive the stang, I will drive the miata! In all honesty, if you just wanted to catch a ride from clear lake that could work.

Yeah, but that would put an end to me staying in Ames Saturday night.

I'm still weighing my options. I'll call you when I know for sure, Matt.

You are not spending easter with your family? :(

i just called B-dubs in Ankeny to try to warn them about us. they kinda just told me that they don't do reservations, but they should probably have plenty of tables ready at 3. let's hope they are right. i would prefer not to stand around for an hour waiting like we did last year.

I'm not spending the whole day with them, no, but I'll be eating dinner with them and staying home the rest of the night.

Anyway, I'll see you guys in the Talon tomorrow. #### if I'm going to let a turbo bolt keep me from coming down. I'll play with it in a bit to see if I can get it out, but I'm not expecting to.

Hey guys,
This is John or JC as some know me. This is my old account I haven't used in almost 5 years. But I'm a Subaru guy now. We showed up today in the 2000 white Legacy GT (the one with the roof racks next to the old red Civic hatch). I'm kind of the coordinator of the local Subaru community and would like to thank you all for showing up and having a good time. I did get a moment to chat with some of you before the wifey and I had to leave to go do some shopping. I hope to see you guys out at the autocrosses this year and maybe at another meet (or meat as us local subie owners say). Also I thought I'd share my pictures. I have to admit I took pictures mostly of the Subarus because I was taking them for us and never thought I'd find my old DSMtuners account. Enjoy and feel free to pm me with any questions or anything you'd like to say to me or the other subie guys and gals. Great meat today and really an awesome time. Thanks guys!
