OK I'm new to the 4g63 and have ran into some questions that someone more "seasoned" might know the answer to I'm about rebuild a 7 bolt.
the engine crankwalked and had a busted piston so it will be bored .030 over and line bored, and my goal is 300-350hp
1. My crank needs turned .010-.030, so should I have it turned or buy a reman one from Oreileys
2. If I have my crank cut, when I goto order bearings will the thrust bearing be oversized to, if not where do you get oversized thrust bearings
and last, of the two witch one would have a higher chance of crankwalk

The remanufactured crank would most likely be turned, and since the crankshafts aren't serviceable because of the nitriding, you need a new crank or a used crank that is within spec.

do not turn the crank because they are nitrate coated or whatever its called. it is only about 10 thousanths thick so if it cant be polished throw it out and either buy a used one in good shape or a new oem one not a orielys or autozone or whatever crank.

I agree get a good used or new crank. If you buy aftermarket do a little snooping around to make sure its a good company your buying from. The other thing I would suggest is looking into possible causes and possible fixes (insurance) for crankwalk. Some potential causes bad crank, low oil pressure at startup, stuck open oil squirters, etc. There is alot of information and theories on crankwalk and if yours walked there must be a cause. Hope the best for you.
