hey guys i know theres probably pages and pages on this topic but this is my first dsm swap. i have a 97gst with a 7bolt in it now, but its blown im getting another 7 bolt for a good price. how hard is it to swap 7bolt to 7bolt? first boosted car too btw i dont wanna ruin a clean dsm because this is my first turbo car. help??

If you are replacing the 7 bolt with another 7 bolt you really don't have any issues to worry about, it is a straight forward motor swap.

its really not that hard at all. all the connections are one way and only fit into one connection so you cant mess those up even though they look complicated. that hardest part is prob removing the suspension parts/cv shafts. gl

no a 2g 7bolt to a 2g 7bolt, going to be putting on intake, exhaust, bov, and a huge fmic. thats it for now untill i upgrade to a 16g turbo, bigger injectors, fuel pump, and dsmlink

A FMIC is not really necessary until you've gotten a bigger turbo, the t-25 is not gonna flow enough air to warrant a fmic. Goin with a "huge fmic" is even worse because it can slow down the velocity of the air as it moves from the compressor through the charge piping (smaller space) and hits this huge FMIC core.
