I'd love to do this and start learning, problem is, I don't have a garage 8(. If anyone is willing to hook me up with a place to do this and to help me out with it, that'd be great. But as it stands atm, the car is at the dealer and I'll know for sure on monday, then I get to decide what to do from there. If it the engine needs replacing, then the car is gonna sit for a while... I bought another car yesterday so I can drive around LOL.

I just literally read all 48 pages of this thread, Im not sure why. LOL. I was stationed in San Diego from Oct. '08 until Sep '09, and I miss it horribly. Someone mentioned last April who kept showing up to the meets at In N Out in East lake in the white 2G. That was me. I also had a black 240 coupe, and a black w/ red metal flake Integra I brought out a few times. When the cops busted that meet, that was the last I saw any DSM guys =[ I'm now stationed in Hawaii, for probably the next 4 years or so, but when its my turn for shore duty I want to come back to Daygo to teach on my old base on Harbor Drive out towards Point Loma. Its great to see such a thriving DSM community, I wish I wouldve known about you all when I was there!

LOL dont you put that evil on me goodbuds! When I was stationed out there last year, I had my white 2g, my one buddy on my base had a really low, silver 2g w/ a front mount, and then another guy on my base had a red 2g w/ a frontmount, and they're all pretty nasty =] I wish we wouldve rolled to Qualcom. Im sure we wouldve seen yall there.

Yo who's red 2g was that whoopin ass at racelegal last night. There was a white 1g putting it down too. Whoever it was got some serious nastyness under the hood.
I've seen that red 2g down at racelegal a few times, things fast. I met the guy driving once, he's from CO and his names Corey. He lives his life one 1/8th mile at a time, nothing else matters...

:dsm:

i thought that might be you but the spoiler looked different from the one in your photo. damn you put it down on the track, much respect to you.

(anybody know of anyone selling turbo parts for a RS)? Trying to piece together a kit. I need everything so feel free to help a brotha out LOL.

Oh man haha! I was waiting for someone to come out and surprise us all by reading the entire thread. That was me who spotted you at the meets; we should have met then!

LOL what can I say? Its boring floating off the coast of bumble#### for months at a time! You arent the guy with the c/f hood, and front lip are you? I talked to some guy w/ a 3000GT with a lot of c/f on it, fresh as hell, and he hardly said thanks or anything. I hope that wasnt you! LOL. But yeah, those meets were chill, and then they went and got ruined! I was in my 240 the night they got busted. Then after that I only saw people while driving... I think theres like, 2 other decent Eclipse on Oahu, other than mine?! Its lame guys. I miss the community. One thing I dont miss is the Cali cops though!

On the bright side, you are in flipping Hawaii LOL! I loved vacationing there as a child, and I am sure it is much better being older now.

I was one of 3-4 3000GT's that made it out there, so hopefully I was not being an ungrateful asshole or something =X Regardless, I apologize for any ass-hattery since I enjoy shooting the shit and helping others. It is a shame that a successful meet was ruined by Integras running 100+ on our 50MPH-limited streets. They are so stupid to think that they could pull that kind of shit off in the SUBURBS with residential security roaming around, not to mention, CVP. Oh well... live, learn, and move on right?

Personally, I have never had any problems with law enforcement. *knock on wood* In fact, I have been followed numerous times and driven alongside without being hassled. It makes you wonder... but I guess they have their own "criteria" for who is a potential troublemaker and whatnot heh.

The most recent Eastlake meet last month had a good turnout though. I am hoping for more similar ones to come.

LOL, this is true. Hawaii isnt bad, what little of it I see. By the time I get back from this deployment, I will have been underway 11 out of 13 months =[ I havent gotten to see the island for more than 2 months.... but enough complaining! LOL. I appreciate the apology, but none is needed. The 3000's that rolled out there were all clean, Im sure Ive seen yours. And hey, watch your mouth about Integra's ;] I was one of the Integras there, but I never riced it out down the street. There was a group of us, all members of Team-Integra, and we dont roll like that. It was probably the ricey stragglers, but hey, thats the past. I never had problems with cops in Cali either, I have Idaho plates on my Eclipse, and PA plates on my Integra =] =] I have a silly request for the guys that go to the DSM meets, and the East Lake meets...could yall maybe take some pictures and post them up next time? Id love to see some of the local DSM crowd =]

We don't go to Eastlake or any other SD meets, you have our own get togethers if everyones car is working, which hasn't been the case for a LONG time.

Since your on deployment you can't view photobucket pics and the last meet we had the pictures are all photobucket.

hay, Toretto's been looking for you Corey. he sead you owe him a 12 second car.:D
Sh!t. I had better turn down the boost then and keep it a 13 second car so he doesn't take it.

:dsm:

LOL damn Navy computers! Grrr. I had to start using Imageshack because of that too, and I hate it! Maybe by the time I get back to Daygo, my car will be running right again. I cant figure out whats going on.... =S

I know how much deployment sucks man, been there done that twice and I'm glad to be on shore duty. :rocks:

I'll tell you what, when I get a minute (which I have now that I'm on shore duty) I'll post up a few pictures I have using Imageshack so you can see them.

Have your wife take the DSM to a Mitsu dealer on the island and have them do a BLT. Usually I'd say :nono: to take it in but your deployed and the dealership is the only place you can trust to do a good BLT on your car.

Corey just installed my FP getting a wb soon just wondering who does the street tuning around here :p
Your neighbor, and all it costs is a hammer and a 2 liter of Mountain Dew from the 7-11 where we're going to do the hammer exchange. :idontknow: deal?

I really don't want to be in your car doing 40mph to 100mph pulls down the 8 but I'll get everything setup in link for you. Then once that happens and everythings running right you can do a logged 3rd gear pull and email/PM it to me and I'll change a few things. I'm not a badass with it but I've figured A LOT out about tuning so I'm comfortable doing it.

Here are the results from going from 91 with the 16g & cams to E85 with the 16g & cams to E85 with the HTA68 and cams... This was all done with the same boost level and I conservatively advanced the timing to 13* peak on the E85 tunes. For those of you who aren't familiar with E85 MOST run 19 to 22* of timing at full boost safely and can see 9hp gains every degree, so its still a very conservative E85 tune.

91 octane with a E3 16g and FP2 cams...
AFR's - 10.5:1 Timing - 7* Max Airflow - 35.1 lbs/min. @ 7k Boost - 21psi HP est - 270 hp TQ est - 280 ft/lbs

E85 with a E3 16g and FP2 cams...
AFR's - 11.5:1 Timing - 13* Max Airflow - 35.2 lbs/min. @ 7k Boost - 21psi HP est - 324hp TQ est - 311 ft/lbs.

E85, HTA68, and FP2 cams...
AFR's - 11.8:1 Timing - 13* Max Airflow - 41 lbs min @ 7k Boost - 21psi HP est - 372 hp TQ est - 321 ft lbs

In the next week or so I'll be turning up the boost to 25 lbs and tuning for 19* of timing advance and a leaner 11.8:1 AFR. We'll see how much the HTA68 can put down I guess...

Born n raised in Daygo. Looks like my time has come to an end LOL, or atleast a really long time out. Just found out my wife will be stationed in japan. We leave beginning of june. Major bummer, I was starting to enjoy the dsm comunnity here. Any meets coming up? I'm trying to soak it all up before I'm airborn.
