My GF owns and works on her own DSM... Beat that ;-). On the contrary hell if its free take it.

Hey 91GSTbaby, I called that guy up and made him an offer he can't refuse, picked up the car today. Thanks for the lead man!:thumb:

NOT!!LOL:tease:

she would hav ebeen alot cooler if she would have bought it for you.

19 yr old college kid with SOME cash + dsm .. wont work.

<--19 year old college kid that makes barely pulls $700 a month from my job and I got my talon that I have a loan on and my 92 350 bird.. though gonna sell that to get rid of my loan.

I've made it so far, and I definitely have been living the life of a DSMer (paying more money to fix the car than to upgrade it)

Most gas stations hire gas attendants since here in Oregon pumping your own gas is illegal over 10 dollars an hour the more experience you have the more likely you are to make over 12.

Experience? What kind of experience does it take to pump gas? The hardest thing to do a decent job at would be washing windshields, which is easy if your squeegee isn't junk like they are at most gas stations.

Really, I'd feel like a loser with someone else pumping my gas for me. Is it legal there to wipe your own butt in the gas station bathroom, or do they make someone do that for the customer too?

Sounds like if you have a couple hundred to spend, that you can be the new owner. Donating the car to MDA, Easter Seals, etc will only give him $150 credit on taxes tops. Offer a little more and let them know you are a strugling college student. I would advise against playing the hot girlfriend card. Can cause way more trouble than it's worth. Good luck getting the oreo!!!

Where are all these girls? LOL

LOL
Right here I am a female who is learning the life of a DSMer Learning how pissed off they can make you but you love them in the end for the time slips they give you..
But sorry boys!! I'm taken!:p

Haha. I am too, have a pretty great g/f. Maybe I can get her interested. Its nice she doesn't complain about my car, and doesn't mind going to the track, car shows, etc.

The ones who truly like cars though, didn't have any luck when I was looking.

I hear ya buddy, the first thing when I got my car last jan. was drop eight hundred dollars on it. It was in pretty bad shape, but the engine was in excellent condition, It had 120k original mileage, and I paid just over a grand for it. It did have some real issues though. This site really helped out with a lo of things.

Lucky for me, she is gonna buy the OREO for me the only question is if mr. sentimental will let it go or not. (I guess thats where the school girl red ribbon thing comes in hahahaha)

Plus she already has hundreds of dollars in my GST which doesn't run right now anyways. Plus my girlfriend is quite the painter, she took my oxidized GST and made it this sexy ferrari red. :hellyeah:

This would be my third dsm if I get the TSI, and even though I have no money, I'll spend all my gf's money on it anyways. :p

I'm her bi*** LOL

My girlfriend cooks me meals with just an appron and heels!! but she drives a honda........
I tried to get her into dsms but proving that my modded boost dsm is more reliable and has better mpgs than her little civic hatch.........yea... but she loves how dsms look so its a start!

So my g/f really is better then yours. Next friday that 1991 Eagle Talon TSI is mine Shes gonna buy it for me! I went over there today and took a further look at it. 120K on the clock, A/T transmission, BONE STOCK. Like so bone stock it still had the spark plug wire plastic holders in place! BOV return hose, the whole she-bang.

This guy bought the car brand new in 1991, and has done straight mistubishi/dealer oil changes/maintence on it since. He has all this paper work on the tire changes, oil changes, everything. I turned the key on, check engine light came on then went off and boost gauge is @ 0. = ECU is operating.

Interior is fully intact but needs some cleaning. The guy is very straightfoward, very laid back. He has the title, and the car's registration is upkept and paid for but its currently registered as a non-op. It has been sitting for 6 years, and the tires sort of have dry rot. Other then that, it turns over when jumped and he says would start but the gas is 6 years old. He is the original owner though.

He said the transmission kicks into neutral when driving sometimes. Theres also a slight knock sound from the motor when turning over and he said he just parked it when the knock sound started.

He said hes not a mechanic so he doesnt know whats wrong with it. Just the knock and the tranny kicking into neutral. It idles fine, revs good, etc. (I couldnt actually get it to fire up.) I ran a dry compression test on it, which came up with some interesting results. Each cylinder was over 120, but each attempt would change sometimes it was 120, other times 150. Nothing ridiculous low.. but it may be in need of a rebuild soon.

$500.00

1991 Eagle Talon TSI A/T with 120K & clean paint.

Shes mine boys. I figure worst case scenario it costs me like 2K to fix it. Its still a TSI oreo!

And then you'll wake up two years later, gf screaming at you, because you're $500 car took $5000 to fix.
Cannibalize it to your other two LOL. That's what I do with every DSM I come across....and that's why my car is named Hannibal LOL.
