Finally I'm revealing what I've been up to after all these months. It's been since January or something like that since I've sold my engine. Took down the car in the fall on 2007.

2.0 bored .020 over with original oil squirters
b-shaft elimination
arp head studs
arp main studs
arp rod bolts
eagle H-beam rods
wiseco .020 8.3:1 cr pistons
machined block deck surface for 4 layer mitsu steel HG
slowboy racing stage 5 head
-manley SS stock sized valves
-manley titanium springs/retainers
-viton stem seals
-bronze guides
-3g lifters (revised for no ticking)
comp101200 camshafts
90 style oil filter housing
ACL race main bearings
ACL .010 over crank/rod bearings
full balanced rotating assembly
.033 piston to wall clearance
.019 top ring
.017 bottom ring, if memory serves me correctly
all professionally assembled

Engine was align honed, bored with a torque plate.
All timing components are mitsu, NAPA water pump (i like their design better, they have a better wheel design then OEM, just my personal preference)

All gaskets are OEM.

My turbo setup:
t67 setup

Straight line specialties t3 manifold with XL runners 850$
t67 p-trim t3 DBB .82ar $1400
tial 40mm WG is $275 i believe...

Whats worse is im an autobody tech and i cant even paint my own car LOL.

The Koyo Radiator needs to be fabricated to fit the exhaust manifold. More or less a 90 degree bend going left

The shroud might cause an issue as well - time will tell though once the center subframe is placed in.

Nothing special..powder coated the wastegate and did some small things..

Been busy with work and end of the semester school work

** The car was relocated to my friends house. No more garage :'(

man I know how you feel on your build. I have a 95 tsi awd, the body isnt in the best shape prob 85 of 100% but under the hood is all good. 6 bolt swap, with all kinds of goodies. oh and I agree with the other dsmers a garage is so nice to work in. thankfully my dad has a sweet building with low exposed beams perfect for pulling engines. keep us posted and have fun. trust me starting it is almost as exciting as the first time you really get a killer launch on some unsuspecting slacker driving a honda.

High way monster in my terms.. occasional track days, but nothing to insane.
I'm probably going to wait until either the end of the season or next year to hit up the track. Who knows, only time will tell.

Yes, this is correct indeed a 6 bolt.

- Driver side axle installed
- FPR lines connected to Fuel Rail
- Fuel Return line connected
- Oil cooler placed and hooked up
- Radiator Installed
- Slim Fans installed
- Turbo installed
- Turbo lines (coolant, oil, etc) installed
- Earls oil pre-filter installed
- Misc. bolts drilled and tapped
- and a few other misc things..

Car basically only needs.. FMIC piping, alternator, wired and grounded, passenger axle, O2 housing fabricated, but nothing major!

What ever happened on this build? Did it get finished? It was looking pretty sweet so far...

He's getting rid of the GST shell and looking for a AWD shell. I believe he was contemplating a full part out but held off.
