2G with 1G swap trouble ### help!!!

Ok, I recently purchased my 1st DSM. Its a 1995 Talon Tsi AWD with a 1G motor swap. Here is the story, the guy that sold me the car did'nt really have alot of info to give me as far as what mods have been done to the car. All he told me was that its a stock 1g turbo motor in 95 Talon. So i get it and the car sputters when u get up to a certain speed. Turbo spools up fine and she pulls like a champ. I just dont know what could be causing the sputterng during regular driving. My buddy Matt and I think it may be a boost leak. Any suggestions? Also the CEL was on, he says its because the ECU is from a 2g and the motor is from a 1g and he never bothered to mess w it. So i swapped the pins in the ECU for the plugs thinking it may do the trick but it didnt. Then i went to autozone to have them check the code, but when he plugged it in the machine wouldnt turn on or read any codes from the car. Tried to do this twice w no luck. Strange thing is, now the CEL is off the sputter is almost non-existant but now she cant idle. The motor shuts off when slowing down to a stop. Can any1 give me an idea as to where to start to resolve this? Already bought the plugs and new wires just in case...:confused: ### help.

Well , you might have a plug wire or coil shorting. maybe another coil (1g)
You might need an SAFC II and a tune.
You might have a screwed up fuel cut problem (upgrade fuel pump, regulator, and injectors)

When it sputters, does it seem like your running off two cylinders?
 
For Trickstar; im gonna be looking into the tune. Not many DSM tuners up here though. As far as the fuel cut she def has that, during WOT she definately bucks like crazy, gonna have to wait on the fuel system upgrade due to cash flow. Thanks for the input. Will post if anything changes.

I would say,that you are getting code for the Missfire..... thats a common problem on 2g with a 6bolt swap....
