So a few weeks ago I decided to teach my fiance how to drive stick in my car, at first it was a NIGHTMARE because I have a ACT2600 and she kept complaining about her leg hurting LOL and when she takes off she either AWD launches the damn thing or stalls the F*** out of it haha. As everyday goes by shes been getting a lot better, but for some reason her starts still aren't the best. :p

1. didn't test drive for the right women.

2. Find a women that knew how to drive a stick for two reasons 1 because if you do something stupid like get in a fight or something that you're unable to drive she needs to drive 2. Emergency reasons

My ole lady knew when I met her. She had a 01 celica GTS 6 speed car. Talking about a turn on.

I can't get the woman to learn stick on my car for the life of me. She always hears me complain about "The god dayum syncro things" as she puts it. So she is scared because she doesn't want to ruin the "Metal syncro spinny things that make it not grind"

:thumb:

Oh women. I love her though.

I tell her she can go through as many transmissions as she wants as long as she would learn! Nope. But that was on the old car, when I get the new car running again I might convince her otherwise.

*Reasons she likes the new car*
It has a sunroof!
It goes PSHHH
It's fast
IT HAS A SUNROOF.
It's red.

Seriously, she hated the old car, however likes the new one... LOL.

well I'm single now however I tried to teach my ex to learn stick when i was with her .... lets just say i trust her with a tricycle ...LOL She not only FWD launched with massvie wheel hop but she didn't let off the gas ! I kept try and she could never learn to not launch it LOL

Friday I was out with a girl I know. She doesnt drink and I do. I had a couple of beers and when we get ready to leave she says let me drive. I say okay.

She gets in and says oh, I don't know how to drive stick. (FACEPALM) So I explain it to her real quick and she just makes it go. Doesn't stall it one time. Before we got back the house she even managed to bark em in 2nd.

I trust girls to drive my car more than my guy friends. They all thing they can drive and one of them especially ####s my car up just by riding in it.

^^^
thats funny.
and i do not trust many people with my car,

the other night i was under the influence so a friend drove.
managed to stall my car 3 times in a row, buck my car so hard i flew forward and hit the airbag, and then came to a complete stop in the road trying to get it into first.

pretty bad when you could drive better under the influence then a sober friend.ROFL

As far as girls go, my sister is the only girl i would ever trust. seeing how she has a 03 wrx. which I love :D

My woman's daily is a stick, so i have no reason to not "let" her drive the dsm. She got in the drivers seat pressed on the clutch pedal (act 2900) made this face->OMG and then stated that she didn't want to drive it.

Then again... I have guy friends who don't want to drive it because of the clutch LOL.

I let my gf drive the Talon, but she has only driven it a couple times. I'd let her drive the Eclipse if she could drive a stick, but only if I was with her.

Yes, my wife drives my car. Sometimes better than i do.....:ohdamn:

My exfiance drove mine around the block (when I wasn't having DSM issues LOL) and that was it. My GF now has only been in my car maybe 10 times if that since I've known her all because it's at the freaking garage for the rebuild and what not :ohdamn:

But seriously, I don't let people drive my car unless it's needed. Without warranty and all the money in it...

I let my wife drive my car one time. The last time! I let her drive from our parents to her parents. Its only about a mile. But I tell you I was a nervous wreck. LOL. Im over protective of my baby. But she can drive a stick. I let her drive my lifted toyota she likes that better anyway. I always love when she stalls it in the middle of the intersection and says what do I do?

My GF has currently been deemed by the state of Illinois to not be allowed to drive any car on any public road anywhere. That side-steps the issue, but she knew better than to think I'd ever let her drive any DSM of mine.
My old 93GS was my DD from 1995-2009. In all that time, 4 other people drove it (not counting dealer technicians) with my consent: One dude drove it to the liquor store as terms of him buying booze for me and the girl I was with; 2 dudes drove it a few hundred highway miles home from concerts in New York, because I had been awake for 36+ hours drinking and eating LSD; and one girl, who I was completely in love with, who I tried to teach to drive stick. We were "on a closed course", but she flaked-out and gave-up after about 50 feet.
Come to think of it, that girl was recently deemed by the state of Illinois to no longer be criminally insane, and was released back into society. My GF has been having a month-long emotional break-down due to the fact that I spoke to the other girl when she called me. My GF might just end up in the bin herself, if she learned that I had ever let the other girl drive my Eclipse. We better not tell her about that.

My wife drives mine whenever I need to take her's to work.

Well this has been an interesting thread.
I myself being a girl drive a 95 GSX Automatic. I LOVE it.
The first stick I drove was a 2002 Ford Focus that thing was as smooth as a baby's behind.
But I have been looking at my boyfriends GVr4 in complete awe. I want to learn how to drive that thing. I can't imagine it being much harder than the focus except for a more stubborn clutch.. But I can get used to that at 20lbs of boost!!!!!

Lets not go there...If something has happened we are definately walking home.

Lol what do you mean?
We live in Idiana on a harmless road so I do not believe I could do anything terribly wrong. Except for stall it a bunch but it is a learning experience.
How will I ever learn if I am never taught?

i've told my fiance she could drive any of my cars at any time she wanted to, but i think she's scared to wreck them. she can drive as stick just fine, she used to have a honduh:notgood: 5spd, but thats her brothers now and she moved on to a stratus.

but the muscle cars she will barely even ride in, she eaither calls them "ghetto" or just "dosent like them", but of course when i had a convt. mustang, she was all for that.....:ohdamn:

O no not a mustang! Lol

I had taught 2 ex girl friends how to drive my car. First one was ok. Standard die outs and jerking. Second one I had more mods done to the car and a brand new trans. Was hesitant but she insisted she wanted to learn. Only killed it twice and knew to push the clutch in when she didn't know what what was going on.

Since I've built the motor and everything, no one but me drives the car. No woman will ever drive it.

Went out with this girl for a week recently who knew how to drive stick pretty well. Came from a family of mechanics. I found it extremely hot :)

Now single

I do not let the wife drive my dizzum...Only one time while her car was in the shop, and she hasn't shut up about me boosting her car ever since..But it does turn her on to hear the turbo spool, but then again I don't let people ride in the dizzum alot either..So when I do it's probly a special occasion, or were just going to the gas station..

She hates my car cause I love it more than her, but she'll get over it eventually..LOL..I guess untill I come home with another dizzum, ROFL..
