Okay. I have a 1992 Eagle Talon FWD Turbo with a 4G63. When I am going over a 100K's and I let off the gas. My door open light goes off. When I brake it comes on solid. Do you guys have any idea how to fix it. Well I am on cruise control it turns on and off an insane amount. As far as I can tell everything is working properly. It is just annoying. Any suggestions in how to fix it? Or if anything is causing it.

My first guess would be the door switches on the inside part of the door.

That would be nice if that was the case. I found nothing wrong with the switches or the sensors.

I would think it is going to be one of the door or hatch switches as well, but you may also have a bare wire behind the cluster or under the dash. My suggestion would be to start checking the wiring. Start at the switches and work your way forward inch by inch.

To be honest, it really does sound like the hatch switch. It should be a part of the latch mechanism, but you shouldn't have any problem just disconnecting the wire that goes to it to find out.

Do either of the seatbelts move when this is going on? I assume since you didn't mention it that it is not happening, which would rule out the switch in the doors. Only leaves 3 left to check.

It really does make sense that it would be the hatch switch though. There would be more force on the hatch when you accelerate, less when you brake, and it would change out as the cruise tries to control the speed.

Seatbelts on either side do not move when the lights come on. Which rules out some switches and latches. I have some wires underneath the car that are just chilling out doing nothing. I have no idea what they are for. But my car seems to operate fine for the most part. Besides my clutch lately decided to be really weird.

Wooo!...a classic tale of a car full of "Spiderweb wiring". Some wicked "spiders" were having fun with this car! You got a big project in front of you.

Get rid of the "web" by finding what each wire is assigned to and I bet you find the source to your problem.

LOL, its true. Do you have some electirical/wiring specifications for my vehicle. Or do you not have any clue where to find them.

I finished. Well lets just say that was hell. But my switches all of them were worn out and now have been replaced. And some wiring was grounded out that didn't need to be.

Congrats! Hope you got the switches for cheap because they are EASY to clean up and work like new again.

you bet I did man. It was like 20 dollars for my both of my doors. I am alright with that. Not the best deal I have ever done but thats alright.
