I am running rich and the people in hawaii really dont know how to use the MAFT
but come on I wanted to be at 300 by now.
Everyone thinks AEM stand alone will get me there from here any sug.?
the more help the better.

Get some injectors, link, and an intercooler and you should be at 300 with some more boost.

OK well I got Some RC650's
but not installed and no one at any hops with a dyno
knows how to use dsmlink thats why they want me to
get AEM Standalone
I am in Hawaii and Hondas r the thing here
not DSM's so if any one knows people here in hawaii on
oahu lmk

im getting boost cut when i up the boost any higher
any quick fix for that

Tuning DSM link is very similar to EMS. Install the injectors, run more boost and tune with dsmlink and after its tuned with timing added you should be over 300. 17 psi is not all that much for these engines. Wouldnt be surprised to see you get into about 25 with your boost levels. You should get more power then you think when your able to fine tune with a standalone and beable to add timing.

What brand dyno?

Don't let the shop sell you aem ems. With what you have, if they can't tune a dsm to pull 300whp on any brand dyno, then they won't be able to do it with ems. If you magically come up with more power and/or they are able to feed your setup more boost with ems, the they were selling you in the first place.

If they arn't getting how the maft works via the simple instructions, then they either don't want to spend the time or they don't know how to read. In either case, go to a shop that wants your business.

But you cannot make much more power than you already have without an injector upgrade (which you now have) AND an intercooler upgrade.

If you're running stock injectors you're not going to make any more than a 14b with a bigger intercooler....

temp outside is about 85-90
and it was a dynojet
the guy tuneing said the ecu was causeing the boost cut
do to maybe the mapping is that right or
can i just throw on the injectors and turn up the boost w\tune

your hitting boost cut because you need to tune that maft. you can get to 300whp with those injectors and an intercooler like stated above. but you have to get that maft set properly in order to get any where near it. if i were you i would read up on tuning with the maft and do it myself!! we can answer questions to any problems with tuning with maft, you may be alone on that island but it has be done before!!

ok well if i am going to tune myself i need
directions in a walkthrough format. basicly
first do this
if the readings are this do this
if the readings are that do that
second do this
etc.

ok so who here know someone in hawaii that i can go to
that knows there dsm stuff

 The maft instructions have the directions on how to use it. Step 1, step 2 etc. Didn't I already mention that?

You reached the limits of the stock fuel injectors with the stock ecu when you reached fuel cut. You need to swap in the 650s and follow the directions. But do you even have a logger? How did the shop moitor knock? With their own tools?

But you don't even have an intercooler upgrade. You really should upgrade as a precaution whe running only pumpgas for 300 or more whp.

First get a logger and a wideband o2 sensor like the AEM UEGO. While you are waiting for logger and WBo2 to arrive, read everything on this website about the MAF/MAFT tuning combo so you can tune it yourself. Then install your logger, WBo2, and injectors and put your newfound knowledge to good use. If you have any questions or problems post here and you will have a ton of fellow DSMers who are more than willing to help you. Good luck!

ok i'll get the things i need and do it myself
and read the crap out of the manual and threads
but i am going to start a new thread to trouble shoot
if i run into problems

remember before you start a new thread try giving that search feature a try.
glad to see you are taking this on yourself, it gives you a sense of accomplishment after its all done and imo is what its all about :hellyeah:

ok i start to get a studdering at around 4500 to 5000 rpm at 17 psi
if i turn the boost down to 14 to 15 psi that studder doesnt hit till 6000 rpm
should i richen it up or do you guys think it could be another prob like boost leak?

not yet i have a appt tommorow at a shop

dou you think it could be that?

Probably a boost leak. Get that fixed and it will run smoother.

Those numbers sound about right. With a better tune you could squeeze out a few more. 300HP normally isn't had until about 21PSI on a good tune for a b16g. But yes, an intercooler is needed now. At 15PSI the stock SMIC starts hating life and you will get knock when it heat soaks.

The 2 best investments you can do right now are:
-Wideband sensor
-DSMLink

Plus, the DSMLink boards and this one have huge followings of supporters and tuners that are willing to help if you are willing to listen.

hopefully its just that

it feels like bucking does this problem sound like boost leak
