I was told that if i put this on my car it will stop my car from running rich.

maybe why are u running rich.safc is a pain in the rear to tune. even then u still need other parts and money to do it right ex( wideband, datalogger, dyno time, ) just a few things to think of and look in to more before ## set on doing that. good luck.

on my old 98, i installed a safc2. The only things done to it were a meegan catback with no cat, an intake filter, boost controller and boost gauge. I hooked up the safc and went and found base settings off of RRE. I didn't have a wideband to accurately tell me my AFR's so i used exhaust color, sound of the engine, and how it felt to get a conservative "tune". Me and everytone else that rode in my car or saw me drive it saw an increase in power. The stock fuel maps on 2g's get very rich up top, leaning it out a little will free up some hp

dont tell him to do that. if u do it do it the right way. doing it by sound and feel and color is the most retarded thing i have ever heard of. thats a good way to blow ## motor. do not give stupid info like that and lead him to some real major problems.

You should figure out why your stock injectors/ fuel pump are making you rich, you shouldn't be trying to "tune" your motor if you have other issues.

Have you done a BLT?

no the car is stock. the fuel pump and injectors are stock

sorry to ask what is BLT

um, unless u didnt notice the fact that i said conservative then u are all tards. If u cant take my post fwiw, then dont comment on it. Adjusting your fuel by 1 or 2% isnt going to "blow up your motor". Everyone here knows the stock 2g fuel maps are pig rich.

EDIT:Also i didnt tell him to do ANYTHING. I gave my personal experience
