hey guys, posted this problem before but im just making sure because i do have the money to buy a new clutch but i really dont want to, if i have to bit the bullet then fine im ok with that

No boost leaks -- done a BLT and im fine, no large leaks, only have a tiny leak from my boost gague which i just put tephlon tape over

i can hold 8 psi all day in any gear and any type of pull -- you put a friend in the passenger seat and now all of a sudden a 5th gear pull on the thruway will start to "slip" at 8psi with engine rpms going up and the car not going with it
( wouldnt i smell burning clutch )??????

if i try to hit 12 psi in any gear past 2nd gear ( ie 3rd 4th and 5th ) shell "Slip"

ok so no boost leak, and "slipping" when punching it and more slipping with more weight in the car

sooo clutch issues? now this has been happening for 2 and a half months now -- it doesnt seem to be getting worse ( its a stock clutch btw ) and the PO beat the hell out of it at the track before i went to pick the car up -- dont clutchs usually go pretty quickly?

could anything else cause these symptoms????????

maybe an exhaust leak? ( my o2 housing to my Downpipe gasket is a little bit worse off then id like and im seeing a little carbon build up on one side of it ) no other visible leaks that i can see

could this cause my issues? i wouldnt think so but these turbo cars have kinda turned my understanding of automobiles upside down

thanks for putting up with my questions guys

appreciate it:thumb:

when i resurface the flywheel will i have to worry about steps? looking to get an act 2100 with act street disk or simply the oem street disk to save money ( i dont beat on my car so im not worried about glazing a stock disk )

ive just seen something about steping a flywheel when it comes to aftermarket clutch kits

ok im im getting a 2100act with a street act disk as well for sure now -- anyone know if i need to step my stock flywheel??????????

yes stepping is required to keep the pressure plate tolerances in spec, who ever machines the flywheel will also have to step it.
i found an oem clutch kit for 154$ all exedy parts besides the T.O.B. the act stuff is good as well, i just went with the exedy cause the price, and it will suffice with my setup. also dont use the throw out bearing if its the metal sleeved one. the plastic ones are better/more reliable.

the origional flywheel would be just fine. Just curious do you know roughly how much Horse power you are running?
