Look on the bumper for the badges. . .

Crawl underneath the back end and look for the pumpkin or a drive shaft.

Look to see what side the exhaust sits if it's on the drivers side it's awd and if it's on the pass. side it's two wheel if I remember right I'm to lazy to run out and look on my car, but I'm pretty sure that's right.

And this way you wont look like a stocker. .

If you are correct then the car would be AWD as the exhaust exits the driver's side. And if that's true then it may be worth stopping by and asking if they would be willing to get rid of it.

The exhaust exits on the same side for awd and fwd cars (driver's side on 2g's, passenger's side on 1g's). Without looking under the car you would have to look for the letters "awd" on the bumper or side-skirt, but if you do that you could just as easily look under the car.

Ok, well I will just have to stop by there anyway.

So you say its a talon so on the back bumper it will say TSi AWD on it.. it sounds like a 2ga talon so it will have twistie side skirts if it is turbo... Key body mark is the TSi AWD.. I would personally look at the diff and see if it says LSD or not.. If it does then the car is probably loaded as the LSD was an option for the talons and came pretty much standard on the eclipse...

I am going to try to ride by there tomorrow and take a closer look at the car. It look's to be in great shape on the outside, just been sitting for a while.

Well i finally got around to checking this car out tonight. It is a turbo car but its FWD
It is a very pretty blue though, But the car looks like it has been sitting for a long time. The owner wasnt there but his brother in-law was but didnt know what he was doing with the car. From the looks of things and judging by the fact that it has 235K on it im almost betting the motor is shot in it. Couple with the fact that it has been sitting under a pine tree for some time and the DS window is partially rolled down then I would say this is a 100 dollar car unless it actually cranks and drives on its own. The body is perfect just nasty from sitting. Gave the guy my number and see what the owner says.
It is 100% completely bone stock, Did not even look like it had ever had the hood open on it.

was also going to mention to identify an awd, take a look next time at the front calipers. 2piston=awd single piston=fwd. (unless they got swapped out) unlikely since you said it was a bone stock car.. ahwell. if the owner gets back to you with a good price, awd swap it!

That is an option, Didn't think of that. I am going to ride back by there today and see if the owner is around. I like the Blue on the car. But i am not paying over 300 for it.

Well this is a no go. I was told that he didn't want to sell the car that his sister still had the title for it. We all know where these end up(SCRAPYARD).

I examined the car some more today before i left for the heck of it and the more i looked at it the more I didnt want it. It was getting dark yesterday when I looked at it so i didnt see everything. There are a bunch of little dings on the car on the quarter panels. The Carpet is ruined since they left the DS windows down. Just alot of stuff that I dont have the time to deal with. Even if he gave me the car for free it would only really be good for someone that was bored out there mind and fixed it up or it would be good for parts.
