Like the title says I was looking on the internet for an electronic muffler scilencer the only real ones i found was one thats only in japan for skylines or something...hks ..EV-R and another i found was the apexi ecv APEXi Exhaust Accessories - Exhaust Control Valve (ECV) - THMotorsports - Lowest Price Parts HKS Exhaust Apexi World Sport Koni Seibon Carbon Fiber ACT Exedy Clutch Skunk2 theres a pipe type like in the link or the flange type....i want to know if anyone has this in their car, feedback, similar things etc. Cops are a pain and i love the sound of my exhaust, during the day its all good but at night i want to be silent. friends say they hear me blocks down the street.

iv never heard of anything like that and the apexi one looks like a exhaust brake for a diesel LOL....best of luck to ya man.

It's basically a cable driven throttlebody on the exhaust... Just like an electric cut out.

does this thing actually silence the car to a stock effect? or is it just like a normal silencer just switchable

If you have it run off a 3" downpipe yes...

When it's open it's a 3" exhaust off the downpipe. When it's closed it can be made to go through a stock exhaust.

now do you install this before the cat or after? i know the one im getting i need to have it welded to the exhaust pipeing

I would do it before the cat... If not I wouild remove the cat and put it on a test pipe.

I'm considering something like this too, but it sounds more reasonable to install it just before the rear muffler, to make the pipe as short as possible for the sound to expand after the valve..

Just a theory.. :)
