IF he had done it on purpose then he wouldnt have looked all dumbfounded when his car grenaded. I call B/S on his whole story. On top of that he claims that the left wheel was spinning. AGAIN B/S. If his tire was spinning that long on anything besides ice or loose & deep sand he would have made tire smoke!

If that statement is true, that guy must have way to much free f*ckin' time on his hands.

Seriously- it's a lot of work swapping engines when your intention is just to destroy the one you're putting in. Hell I enjoy working on cars, too....but I don't think I'd ever go through the work of an engine swap just to blow something up.

Surely a man of his intelligence would've known that the wheels we're turning, so the massive burnout he attempted from the get-go was never happening. The other thing that strikes me as odd is the puzzled look on his face as he tries to open the hood before shutting off the camera. If his intent was to blow it up, he would've had an audience cheering him on that would've erupted in excitement once the flywheel went through the hood. The bigger and badder the carnage, the better....right?

Exactly man, Did you see his face when he walked up to the camera? How about when the other car pulled up and he was gesturing like he didnt know what the hell happend. What a dooooosh.:p

Car moved forward (pulled), other wheel was probably spinning for a second then stopping...

maybe he was expecting it to blow in someway other then the flywheel coming out of the hood

This is what I am thinking. I have intentionally done some dumb shit to cars (incidentially, not THIS dumb) I am pretty confident he did not expect it to blow up at all, just expected a big smoky burnout, not a big hole in the hood.

Regardless.... i would have crapped my pants if that had happened to me. right after i realized what happened. I have seen flywheel chunks come through floorboards and firewalls before. Scary stuff.

People with nice cars, should be punished for not knowing how to drive.

Maybe we should make a list on people who can buy nice cars and people who can't. This guy would be only be allowed to drive a honda. ROFL

WOW to all those nubs. I love how the corvette owner thinks he knows what he is about to do. Dumbass.

Was that vett owner crying at the end??? Said fck then I heard a sob sniffle. You would think that the other people watching/recording would have yelled at him before he took out his clutch that much. Clutchs have a way different smell than rubber.

To tell you all the truth about warranties on Corvettes. There are guys who go out and road race and time attack Z06's and when the engine blows due to lack of oil (because the dry sump system cannot pump oil with the oil is on the other side of the oil pan) the corvette plant replaces the engine and any damage on the car for free. I have saw corvettes come in with lap meters, bigger brakes, coil overs, and all sorts of cooling mods done to them, and the car has a popped engine.

The guy in this video, probably got a brand new transmission, and torque tube.

I worked at the plant for 2 years as an intern and also worked on the line for summer help (temp job).

I am a hater of people having cars and they don't know how to drive, but if I had money I would buy a Z06 and rag the piss out of her, break her and tow her back to the dealer to fix. Included is heated seats, HUD, bose surround sound, air conditioning, and a car that runs 11s.

ROFL!!!!! I almost pissed my pants with the guy with the vette! A dsmer will buy his tires so he can pay for his clutch. dumb a$$!!!! middle aged doctor or something "ha ha ha this will look cool"

I just cant get over this video. "what we are going to do is roast of these REAR tires, It should be a smokey show. " when he starts "spinning" the tires He Jim Do you think we should tell mark that his tires are not really spinning and he is just revving his corvette to the moon and smoking the ball sac off the clutch? Jim: "Naw, he will find out when he gets done with test 1"

Yea I guess your right, that shit angle makes it look like one LOL. I was trying to look for the difference in the intake manifold but that picture plays with your eyes.

My guess is that the guy HAD to have an engine in the car for insurance purposes, and didn't want to lose his good motor.

Also, the reason he was dumbfounded was because he didn't intend to blow the whole thing up, he intended to do a burnout. I would be surprised too if I went to do a final burnout and the clutch came out the hood.

Seems believable to me.

The video of the nean was funny. How can you not know the tires are not spinning? When the hood instantly bulged out and the smoke started flowing, I bet he pissed his pants.

I kinda felt sorry for the Corvette guy. He had no idea what he was doing and the mechanics didn't say a thing. I think they wanted it to tear up. They could have warned the guy before it broke.
