Does anyone know what the name of this part is?? It is the gold colored part. Mine is broken and I need to know it's name before I can order it. Thanks.

The sway bar end link on my Talon looks like this. IE both bolts are on the same side. But this part is for a 1G. Please help. The car has a 07/95 birthdate.

If you call the dealer they can find it for you with your vin number! Or take it with you to a parts store and make sure they give you the proper one before you leave.

I was kinda hoping to avoid the mitsu dealer. Especially the one here in Peoria. The parts counter lady is a freaking joke. Thanks man.:rocks:

MachV sells a good quality set for a good price. I put them on my 2g gs-t when I had it and they are MUCH MUCH easier to get on and off than OEM ones.

whatever you do buy an aftermarket one, much easier to install/take off.
I second this.

The OEM end links on my 2G have plastic ends. I had one break on me last year, and I replaced it with a parts store end link with metal ends. It seems to be much stronger and earier to remove/install.

Last set of links I bought (18 months ago) were still the metal links with the hex head opposite the nut, rather than the Allen key socket in the end; that is the OEM design for 95/96 parts. Whilst my 98 came with the plastic joints, every OEM replacement I've bought has been the 95 type.

Perhaps Mitsu cheaped out for production assembly but retained the original design for OTC spares ? Or, maybe Mitsu realised how skanky the plastic/Allen key units were out in the real world and switched back (but after 12/12/98).

So you need the part number for a sway bar end link for a 1g with a manufacture date of 07/95? That can't be right.

I'm not 100% sure on the birthdate. But I do know that both studs are facing the same direction. Parts lady at my local mitsu dealership doesn't believe me. Did the early 2Gs have some 1G parts on them??

Thanks for all the help boys and girls!!! I have no clue what I was thinking when I thought the front links bolts were on the same side. :ohdamn: Thanks again for the help!!!
