I paid $3500 for my 95 eclipse GSX. stock, but the whole car was a piece of shit excuse the language. It had a terrible aftermarket paint job, the whole front end was ruined. the bumper was broke, it had no wheels, terrible hail damage, a punch dent in the fender, windshield had a permanent scratch from someone not replacing the wiper blades, missing the air dam ground effect, and the leather seats were cut. Bought it with a dr pepper on the carpet. this car is a mess LOL. I have got all of the major issues fixed, just a few more left.

traded my 92 civic vtec and $1,000 for my 1990 talon tsi awd. all it needed was a new clutch.

I bought my 91' Talon N/T automatic for 800$. was leaking a little oil from the valve cover gasket but i re sealed that. ive owned it about 3 weeks and the altenator belt snapped this morning. just replaced that. I still feel i got a great deal, the car is awsome. and i love the "power" mode on the auto transmission, its great havin the ability to ride gears out to 6 and a half before shifting. too bad its only 4 gears rather than 5.

90 tsi 153k 2 weeks ago. s16g bov mbc and muff. interior is wonderfull just needs paint.... $800 and i got the original dealer paper $16,805 out the door in 1990.

$6,000 - 1995 Eclipse GST in 2004: Great body, minor scratches. Ran till the timing belt slipped late in 05.

$1,700 - 1997 Eclipse GST Spyder in 2010: Needed new bearings but I only needed the Tranny for auto to manual swap..

$2500 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi, 170,000. 5k on rebuilt motor, 5k on rebuilt tranny with bolt ons. Beats driving my other car......
a 91 Geo Metro.:hellyeah:

Yea but you can't beat the gas mileage of the metro. LOL we dynoed one back in the day at college and made 38whp. It was an automatic 3 cylinder if I remember correctly. damn thing got great gas mileage.

First DSM: 1990 1.8L Eclipse... pay'd $2,500 back in 2000, ECU went bad and she went to DSM heaven

Just bought 1991 GST in Jan for $1,000. 148K on the chassis, 10K on rebuilt motor. Shakes and rattles like a sumbeach, but then again, I wasn't expecting a lexus LOL

1995 GS-T

800 bucks from a junkyard in weymouth mass.
Replaced starter, timing, water pump, oil pump, head gasket, front and driver side motor mounts, and the thermostat that had the previous owner and his 2 bit hack mechanic stumped as to why it was overheating... ROFL

Engine is mint, Interior is mint, Sunroof still works properly.

I think this was a steal :hellyeah:

1990 Talon TSI AWD, paid $1600

The car had 190k on the clock, it needed a new alternator and some general love / cleaning.

Had a freshly rebuilt head and timing belt job, and I compression tested it before I bought it, 150 across the board.

6 years later the car has served me very well. I had to put in a new throwout bearing, so I put in a new clutch and all other tranny maintenance items when I was in there. I changed many gaskets and got all the general maintenance stuff out of the way. Other than the throwout bearing, the car has ran great. The only other time it was down was when the ECU died.

It now has 203k on the clock (and a few added aftermarket parts :p ) and it's running better than ever!

I also bought a 1990 eclipse GSX a few weeks ago. I paid $700 for it, it needs a head and timing job. I finally have all the parts ready to go so it should be up and running in the next few weeks. Very clean car, only 120K on the clock, not bad for a 20 year old car.

Paid 1300 for mine. ECU was bad and all I had to replace to get it running again. Mods it came with is a custom tubular exhaust, with stock 2.5" DP and O2 housing, and turboback (catless) exhaust with Greddy muffler, LOL oh and all the free mods done to it already. . Had new head, intake manifold and injectors. New cv axles, tierods. Even matching tires with good thread. All and all have spent about 1500 on it. Well 1750 Had to tow it and renting the U-haul truck and tow trailer cost the extra 250. Now just working on the maintence, DSM newb i bought it from spent his wad on upgrades but no maintence. Was scary changing the oil, so black and dirty sun light wouldn't penetrate it;( Kinda scared to see what the drivetrain fluids look like;( Know the timing belt and other belts are new. Head was replaced within 5k miles of getting car with new belts added. BUT no new water pump and such, probally will redo it and remove balance shafts and put in EGR plate.
