Well today I am doing my fuel pump rewire and I wanted to do a definitive tech article for this on a 2g as well. I took the more expensive but in my mind more secure route and bought the kit from STM. It comes with a nice connector for the relay instead of soldering together some connectors and hoping they are good on the relay. The connector has 5 wires on it and they are as follows.

white- connects to pin 85 of relay
yellow-connects to pin 87 of relay
black-connects to pin 86 of relay
blue-connects to pin 30 of relay
red-connects to pin 87a of relay

now my instructions say #30 is for the feed line from battery, so am I connecting the blue line to the large power line i just ran?

87a says not used, will this extra wire be fine hanging there or will it have a charge to it and need to be removed or covered?

87 says when cutting stock 12v pump wire this is to the pump side

86 says when cuttin stock 12v pump wire this is to the car side

85 says chassis ground

On the fuel pump connector being awd i have 5 wires. Two yellow wires with blk stripes, 1 larger solid blk, 1 large blk with blue stripe, and 1 smaller black. I just dont know how this is supposed to be done. I know the blk/blue wire is the power wire, am I connecting this to both the new power line and the relay or just the power line? Same with the large Black ground wire does it go to both or just to the new ground wire. The other three wires I am lost on, I understand the yellows are for the fuel level sensor and low gas light but do they get touched? The thin black is the level sensor ground, should it be touched?

I am sorry about the long post but I want to make sure this is done right. I will also include my photobucket pictures for those who need to see it. Thanks in advanced for the help I really appreciate it. Hopefully with your help I can make this a tech article so nobody ever has this problem again.

I have read all the articles on the subject I'm just trying to be sure and have a definitive setup for a 2g awd.

Apparently I made this a lot more complicated than it really was, I got it done earlier today no issues. I will have pics of the completed setup for a visual reference tomorrow.
