Im posting this here because since I dont have that many posts, that must obviously mean, I know nothing about my car and how to repair or upgrade it.

But anyway, has there been any recent news on the reliability of Evo ecu setup? Are there any straight forward, complete instructions on how to put the setup in your car and run without any inital problems for a 96 turbo? Can DSMlink be used on a Evo ecu setup?
I have just about everything needed to do the EVO ecu setup but I wanted these questions answered before I went forward. It is more cost effective for me to do this setup up, if it works properly.

For the Critics:
I have already read countless threads and conducted several searchers about most of the questions that I asked, but the aswers are still foggy. Any information is helpful but I would just ask that we stay on the subject. I dont want to come off as brash but I see too many times where people respond without any relavent input.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Evo ecu works fine for me...going to their Speed Density setup now. Easy to do, thread on How To is in the tuning sections. You cant post but you should be able to read through. All the kinks have been worked out pretty well.

That's not what it means at all. It just means we're hoping you'll post more in order to be rewarded with access to all the other forums.

I think to move up you have to put out posts that are informative instead of asking questions. At least that's how it worked for me.

i dont believe you need to worry about dsmlink if your using an evo ecu i think thats kinda the point of doing it. you can use evo scan and reflash the ecu without having to use link like on your stock ecu set up.

I understand. I just get a little flustrated sometimes. The rules are put in place for a reason. Most times when I want to reply, someone has already answered the question; no reason to be an echo. Also, I hardly ever post because most questions that I have are answered via the search button. There are some really knowledgable people on here. Thanks for everything. :applause:
Here is where I'm at with the EVO setup. I have:
1. EVO 8 ecu
2. Harness extension (so I can swap back often as needed)
3. Computer and programs needed
4. Tactrix cable
5. Several .xml files(not sure which one is correct)
6. EVO injectors and EVO fuel pump (both not installed)

These are the things that are fuzzy to me.
1.From what I have been reading, with the 96 that I have I will have to swap the sparkplug wires and/or the cas(cam angle sensor) - need clarification
2.Will the evo injectors and fuel pump be good enough for a good tune on a FP Big28 - goal is about 3 bills to the wheels
3.On other posts I read, people are having some issues with the scaling and things of that nature. I have some .xml files also, that are iffy. Some people say that they work on their cars but others say they dont. Is there any one .xml file that will work to make my car run, just like it do now, after the EVO swap?

So if anybody have a good install guide for my application, it would be greatly appreciated.
