So I am building my 7 bolt from scratch and I have and auto trans. AWD to. I want to see what other people are using and get a rough idea of how much it costs for a stall and some other light trans mods to make it hold power. Looking for mid 12's to start then go from there. Engine mods are full rebuild new main and rod bearings, Wiseco pistons and eagle rods.

My very good friend josh (420a-t) ran 12.3@109 on stock auto trans, stock tcu, and stock converter. I'm in the middle of swapping my car to auto. My goals are mid-high 11's on stock auto awd trans w/ with translab shift kit and stalled converter. I'm planning on useing the stock tcu plus a roadsurge shiftbox too.

You can run 12's just fine on a stock tranny, just make sure you aren't over pushing the tranny with too much HP and it doesn't get too hot. Keep it cool with a good tranny cooler.
