Where you from ### I think I seen you at the Showdown in E-town running at the track, but Ive never seen you around the Poconos.

Ehhhhhhh the showdown....don't remind me LOL very bad day! But yea I'm from the poconos LOL mostly stalk the streets of wb/Scranton haven't been down to esu In years.

Oh damn you know about ESU and all huh and yeah I think I saw you post somewhere that you were havin either tranny problems or u were runnin way too rich like 9ish I believe but I may be wrong, but I think you still ran in the 13-12s which isnt that bad, but yeah I havent been to the Woodlands in a while and I think Im goin there tomorrow night or maybe next thur night either one Im most likely goin ### I use to go there like every week and havent been there for ###### about a year and Im a senior at ESU right now so anytime u wanna party lemme know

LOL, yea as i'm getting older now (just turned 29) i seem to be going out less and less. When i was about 22-23 i was at the woods on friday saturday and sunday for at least an hour or so LOL. At the showdown I had trans problems and my safc had lost all its settings from the car sitting for so long. So yea i had 9ish AFR's and didnt use the studderbox on my launch cutting a lousy 1.9 I believe and still ran a 12.4. Then my brand new rebuilt trans took a shit! Also found out that my holset turbo was separting from the housing....so yea was not a good day for me....cost me alot of cash and the car ran its slowest time ever!

Wowww I feel bad for you man.... yeah I think I was reading somewhere around the posts that you were getting your trans rebuilt at dogbox I believe and you had just picked it up and than I couldnt believe it went bad on you, and than the turbo too sounds like a day from hell...btw is it a hx35 or 40 if u dont mind sharing LOL....is the car all good now runnin good trans good afr and so on or wats goin on with it?

its an hx40pro, I havent driven the car other then onto the trailer and down my driveway since getting the trans rebuilt at DB for the second time LOL. Currently the turbo is off the car as I have a bolt that broke off in the houseing and im probably gonna paint the snail also. So yea once i get the housing back and can put it back on the car i need to do some tuning! If you want i can give you a link to some of my track vids, I have one with the car untuned on pump gas and like 17psi running 12.0@107 then i turned the boost up to 24-25psi and she ran the same 12.0 but at 122 spinning all 4 outta the hole LOL. So once she is tuned on 25 psi with 122 trap low 11's are a safe guess. But this time im not tuning for 25 im going to tune for around 29-30 on pump and 35+psi on race gas....Should be scary fast :) The 40pro starts making its serious hp after 30psi he he he and my stroker loves it! Too bad my drivetrain didnt....2-3 tranny's all built not stock, 2 axles, 1 transfer case and a rear diff LOL and I really didnt abuse it much.....ok ok the one axle was abuse but the rest wasnt!

Haha sounds like you got some serious power and you're not messing around, it just sucks that our cars weigh close to 4000 pounds with full interior and all that and it takes a lot of work to get them to move , but first gens are just totally different I know people around here with first gens runnin 11s with a 16g and some fuel and a tune, but yeah def send me the links to your vids and time slips and what not I would def check them out

Hey Z, Hey George how are you guys? Just was catchin up on some posts. Whats this I read about the trans having to be rebuilt by dogbox for a second time? Hope it all got straightened out. My holset build has been put on some what of a hold. Some family things came up and then the ecu fried in my AWD so im struggling to get money for dsmlink and get the rest of the body work done. Once thats straightened out then tax time should be rolling around to get the motor built. It won't be a stroker anymore but a well built 2.0 should play nice with the hx35. I'm thinking when its all said and done i'll be around 25-30psi.

I wish summer lasted longer. I wanted to have a pocono dsm get together/ bbq but I just ran out of time. Maybe spring? Invite the lehigh valley dsm club up?

Yo whats good havent seen you in a while, its been too cold out for them Lowes meets anymore but I think I seen your car like 2 days ago at that shop where Justin works ### there was a dsm parked next to his that looked like yours

Yea lowes is getting a bit to chilly to hang around for more then 30-40 minutes without wanting to stop at sonic and then go home now. Yes that was my talon parked next to justins. I work ther too at Mark Grays. Me and him like to think of it as an unofficial dsm shop. Theres been a few weekends were my car his car and my fiances silver 2g were all there either on the lifts or jacked up outside getting something done to them.

Hey guys. I just got my fisrt DSM. A 1992 awd laser. I am not new to high HP turbo cars but need to learn a few things about this laser. I just wanted to say whats up to some local guys.

Nice to meet you, I'm Casey. AWD lasers are RARE!!!!! keep good care of it and welcome to the forums, and the local car scene. Ever need any parts or help with it let me know. Theres a couple of us Mt.Pocono, Stroudsburg dsmers willing to help.

Hey thanks dude. I am leaving for vegas today for awhile but when I get back I will be ripping the engine apart so I will have questions for you guys. I appreciate that.

Is there anything wrong with it or are you planning on building it, why are you taking the engine apart?

Nothing wrong with it but a few parts need to be connected to run right (maf, intake etc) I am ripping the motor apart to build it to handle some ballls. fp 3052 or fp3065. I am looking for around 500 range for this car.

I see you got some serious goals with the car so good luck with it and hopefully all goes well and we see you on the streets down in the burg or some car meet or something.....wud it be done by the summer or?

Yeah around march. I just might need one of you guys to swing by and point some stuff out. I am confused on some the the fmic kits out there. I see the short route kit and other kits but all the piping seems to come from either the drivers side or the pass side. I could fab my own but why when they sell them.

I am looking to run a fp3065 with ext dump. On mondays there is a general car meet at lowes and on thursdays there is a euro meet at lowes and I am always at both during the summer.

I am just confused on my intercooler setup. My outlet and inlet are on the end of the end tanks and I can find piping for that. All the Intercooler setups I see the outlet and inlets are on the back of the core facing towards the motor.

Does anyone make piping to fit what I have or should I just buy a short route kit ?

Sounds like you may have an older front mount kit. They make piping kits but some of it may need to be fabbed up. The newer more common styles, atleast what I have seen and what I now own has the piping facing towards the motor. Your intercooler routing has a slightly longer piping design.

I've been at lowes a few times this past summer and I'm not sure I met you. I have the primered 1g with the black front bumper. My friend Justin has the white 1g awd thats normally pretty spotless when he comes down. The thursday night v-dub show kind of died out with the monday night seeming to get EVERYONE to show up.

I am just going to buy one of those short route kits. What size is the piping ? Does anyone sell 2.5 piping ? Any advice is helpful because I only started researching this stuff recently.

The thursday night veedub seen is good because its only me and about 8 to 10 of my friends. We just meet up have dinner thats it. We never really tried to get it bigger because the monday show is big enough. LOL.

I have seen the spotless awd white one. Nice car. Thanks guys.

i beleive most of the kits offer either 2.25 or 2.5 piping. When your going to different websites and looking at the kits it should tell you all the dimensions. I would recommend a punishment fmic its a good bang for the buck but I don't think it can support 500whp. If you have money to spend maybe look into slowboy racing or ams race intercoolers. They are ALOT bigger but then the end tank design may be different.
