On Sunday my girlfriend and I started on our most recent DSM build.

A little history.......

We picked up a 91 GSX for 100 dollars from a local here in Denver (who I wish would come get his wheels before I scrap them).

The drivetrain was removed from the car along with the dash and seats.

We decided the red was in dire need of a repaint. We had some black left over from our CTS-V we just repaired and used that paint.

We stripped the entire car, prepped it and have been painting it slowly. I have to be careful becuase landlord will slit our throats if she finds out.

We needed a drivetrain for the car and finally found one. I picked up a 91 Talon Tsi for 500 bucks that was wrecked.

this is what we started with give or take a little

Anyways this is what we have accomplished in the last three days:

Let me know what you think.

We would like to have the car back on the road in a few more days and we are getting close.

looks good glad too see someone save dsms hope it works out, can you save the other car or it's too far gone, or is it in dsm heaven. good luck

Yeh lots of work that is for sure. but were kicking ass.

I have a 2.3l Stroker in back but willwait for that

Damn. You and your girlfriend work fast! :applause:

+2 on saving a DSM! :thumb:

Thanks guys makes us feel like it was for a good cause LOL.

Wow I wish I could do stuff like this! :thumb: Unfortunately I don't have the time or money... Darn college! Keep up the good work, I hope it rocks when its done! :rocks:

shes a championess and loves this shit so it works for the both of us.

just picked up a few goodies for it today.

and painted rest of inside and exterior

pics coming soon

+3 on saving a dsm! Cant wait to see this thing come back from the grave!:hellyeah:

+4 on the DSM save. I'm picking up a 91 talon with a blown motor next week for $300 and if in half decent shape doing the same. At the least I will be stripping it and saving what I can. As for my g.f. helping, can't see it but never know. So it'll probably be a male build/salvage. Good luck.

Does your girlfriend have an adam's apple?

LOL jk man, but nice work! Keep it up it'll be worth it.

ve been out of town for over a week.

when i get back ill get some updated pics.

started buildling a new turbo set up, got our intercooler, and a few other toys!!!!

+5 on the awsome save. At least you will know exactly what you will have when you get done. Glad it works out for the both of yall and three days work that is crazy. Good luck with the build. Keep us posted.
