Ok this is ###### the 3rd time ive pulled this tranny out and putting it back in.. This time it is killing me, and i dont understand what im doing wrong...i spent 2 hours with 3 people trying to get the tranny to clear teh frame and everything and i could not do it. The closest time i had i had the transmission up there but it was closer to the front of the car and it wasnt clearing the back of the pressure plate.. but i could not push it backwards ### it was hitting my frame.. The part that the underplate bolts to right near where the passanger lateral control arm bolts. I'm so fustrated ### i heard of people doing these jobs by themselves.. And what i'm working with is a 3ton floor jack and of course my hands. Anyone else have any ideas? I also loosened up the half shaft so i have play in it and i took the mount off of the tranny itself. Please if im over looking something help me out

Shouldnt be that much of a problem...take all the mounts off the tranny including the rear one, drop the motor down slightly and try sliding it in. with the motor angled downwards is shouldnt even be close to the frame.

Got the tranny in and eveyrhting back together.. I fired the car up and made sure all the gears worked.. 5th felt very weird and i dont someone blew out 5th gear becuase it is a jdm tranny from a jdm retail. But i think it has to do with the car still on jack stands. I think it will all be better when i get the car on the ground and take it for a ride. Just waiting on my buddy to bring me my wheels back the i lent him while my car was down.

It shouldn't make a diff if it is on the ground or not but sometimes the shift linkage gets a little bent up and makes it feel a little funny.
