Hey ppl....im doin a balance shaft elimination on my 1g and i have the front cover off and my oil pump, where do the freeze plugs go and how many bearings should have came with the kit?

Well, where can I get the front cover gasket, oil pump seal, and oil filter adapter gasket. I went to autozone and they couldnt get them and advance didnt know what the heck I was talking about

I got mine from the dealership. They may have to order them for you, but if you're lucky, they'll have them in stock.

Well thats just it, there are no mitsu. dealerships around or near me haha, I live in rural kentucky. Im lucky we have an autozone for the basics (tune up, ect.)

Where else would someone look other than dealership. I just bought this car a month ago and realizing that parts are hard to find

give one of the vendors a call... otherwise you can go to advance or autozone and get the felpro conversion kit which will have those gaskets in it plus some. double check cause one will sell the kit for 25 bucks and it will come with the gaskets you need plus other kits... use rtv for the oil pan... dont use the pan gasket that comes with the kit if you go that route

So you just had 5 people tell you to look at what vendors have to offer and someone suggested ebay. You must have totally skipped over those posts. Mitsubishiparts.com or Extreme PSI.

If you have to go to a Mitsubishi dealer to get your gaskets. Moses in Huntington WV is not that far.....You can even order them and they will ship them to you if you pay with creditcard.....I have got the same gaskets at Advanced Auto in Portsmouth, Ohio(The Armpit of America)

I got them from moses. They shipped them next day so I got them earlier today. All I need to do now is find a good manifold to use. My stock manifold is cracked and posing a problem.

I wouldn't ever go to autozone unless you are buying something off of the shelf. It has been my expierence that most of the people that work in them are idiots. I much prefer O'Reilly's every one of them I have ever been in there was some body there that knew what I was talking about or at least didnt stop looking for what I need until they had exhuasted every available source.
