BEAUTIFUL RUNS! Just to throw it in there, I have the same issues with my PTE 5031RE as well (30psi dropping to about 25psi) AND I'm on a 38mm external gate off of the o2. I've since convinced myself it is due to the small turbine housing of the mitsu breed, since I haven't figured out any other reasoning behind it.

What spring/s do you have in the wastegate?
It's very possible its the housing, i've heard the bolt on pte housing is not the best.
Obviously the OP put down some pretty impressive numbers down with it though!

Thats odd,I have the same turbo with an external gate off the o2 as well and have never had that problem
What lb. W/g spring do you have in?

What pte 50trim is the OP using? i just installed my pte5457 but havent gotten to the dyno or track yet and havent seen too much info on the pte5457

I'm running a dual green spring for my 38mm o2 WG. It sits right around ~21psi with just line pressure. I've asked this question before and still haven't found an answer :coy:

Should be lots left in that setup. I did 124mph on a bolt on 50 trim, using an 8cm Mitsu housing, and pump gas. 93 octane. That was only running 25psi as well.

Found the tune I had before going to the track, I'm not a pro by any means to give me some grace :)

Well I'm only at 30 psi for a second, my runs all settle in at 22 or 23 psi. So not to bad for low boost, I wish it would stop dropping though.

I'm having te same boost dropoff issue with my sc5031. I'm running the journal bearing model with a .63ar t3 housing (5bolt outlet). Tial 38mvs external on the manifold collector. I changed the 1.0bar springs for 1.4bar springs and it didn't change anything.

11.1@123 was my best, but I'm sure if I couldd get it to hold steady boost it would run much higher mph. Last time I was hitting 28psi and dropping to 24, but my estimate is that 75% of the time on boost at the track, boost pressure is actually only 26 or less.

Ok, I'm sorry if this is off topic but how are you guys getting these times with the pte 50 trim. I have a pte 50 trim on my car with a FP turbine housing, tial 44mm external wastegate, all the supporting mods, built motor, built trans. I am running C12 race gas and 30psi and can only manage a 12.4 @ 118mph. I was also looking at the OP's tune on dsmlink and his timing and fuel dont even look like they have been touched? I've had my car tune by a professional shop that works on dsms everyday. They came out with me to the track and tuned it while I raced it. Would someone be able to look at my log and tell me if there is something wrong with it?

EDIT: BTW nice run with your PTE 50trim. Must be nice to be in the 11's.

I don't know what your tune looks like (who tuned it?), I tuned it myself and I'm not that great at tuning. E85 is the bomb, end of story.

I'd lean it out abit closer to 12:1 you'd free up a bit of IDC and then add 1°-2° timing and see if you pick up a bit more power

I don't think I will be going any more agressive with my tune on the stock motor, once I get her running again I will turn the boost down to about 20 psi and have fun with that till I graduate in the spring and get a real job ;)

About 19 degrees across if I remember right, I can't look at the tune on my mac...

### you and your t00nr shop are the SUCK! J/K You got cams? Aftermarket intake manifold? Stop trying to run 30psi with that turbo. That's part of your problem. Way out of the efficiency range. Turn it down to 27-28psi max, add a few degrees of timing in. What shop is this that you speak of that did the tuning? You either have a VERY heavy car, or you are just leaving a LOT of power on the table. Also, work on the driving. 118mph is good for 11.70's on a decently driven car. I've gone 123mph on an AFC and pump gas, WAY WAY WAY back in the day on a (what is now considered junk) FP Green.

Give us some more insight on your tune, your big supporting mods, etc and we can try to give you a hand.

I attached my current tune, if you want to take a look at it go ahead.

I don't want to mention any names of the shop, its a local shop that specializes in dsm's. They have their own 10 second shop car so i would assume they know what they are doing.

My car is full weight car, full interior, has everything except a/c and cruise. It was one of my first times out with the car so maybe it's just driving.

Here's a list of mods:

•Engine: 2.0L @ 8:1.
CP Pistons, Pauter X beam rods, Clevite bearings, ARP Fasteners,
Manley 1mm oversized valves with springs and retainers
