whats up guys. ill try to explain my problem short an simple as possible.
i have a 93 awd. when i first got the car,(BONE STOCK) it would only boost about 7psi. with a cracked E-mainfold, and broken stud.

next, new manifold, new stud, and 3in. turbo back.

then i was reaching 7psi again, only now after about 4500rpm the boost would shoot to about ten. (after the 3in t-back).

couple days ago, turbo (14b) blew and i got another, this one with a 16g hot side however.

now new turbo installed... im only at 6psi throughout the whole rpm range, no creeping, just solid 6psi.

me an fellow dsmers have done about 3 BLTs and i cannot figure this out. how could there be this large of a boost leak. if that is even the problem. an we not hear it??

i believe the bov is fine along with the actuator also. what do you think??

yea, tonight we just bypassed it, cause i thought that could be the problem too. an still same boost level

did you try replacing your wga (wastegate actuator)? your setup might be working perfect, that wga might just be controlling boost too well. you can either get a boost controller or borrow a friends wga that you know will open at 10psi and throw it on your setup. whatever you decide its a 5 minute install (if you get a mbc). good luck.

:dsm:

alright today went to the local rice shop and picked up a turboxs MBC. that seemed to cure the boost issue. turned it up to about 10psi.

now the car is hitting some small fuel cuts after about 4k. @ 9.5-10psi. could this be a fuel issue? i assume that the stock fuel system can easily handle only 10psi.

any idears?

Boost leak? Do another test, your car should hold 18-22 psi. Do you have a logger or a wideband? With a good tune that 14b can boost up to 20 lbs easy. Check the wastegate again. I have an external wg on a 14b and I've spiked to 18 lbs with out trying.

just this blitz turbo timer/boost guage... its accurate im sure.

its strange, it acts exactly like im running 87 oct. (fuel cut wise) im halfway thinking it could be the intake. or the rubber IC piping. my intake is in pretty haggard shape. and also a hidden boost leak i cant find on this bi***, that u all are saying.

i need to upgrade to aluminum pieces badly
